Yesterday, members of the Kadima party gathered at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem (Begin would probably turn over in his grave if he knew his center was used by Kadima). Ehud Olmert used the occasion to lambast Netanyahu for “jeopardizing” Israel’s existence and status. This is the same Olmert who agreed to give up Jerusalem’s holy sites to an international authority consisting of ‘Palestine’, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S., to transfer Arab neighborhoods in the eastern section of the capital to the Palestinians, to expel more than 60,000 Jewish residents from their homes in Judea and Samaria, and to withdraw from most of its territory in the region–leaving Israel defenseless against the kind of rocket fire that Israel now has everyday from Gaza.
On the other hand, this morning saw Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zohion calling the Israeli capture and imprisonment of Palestinian engineer Dirar Abu Sisi “a violation of international law.” This is the same Hamas that violates international law every minute of every day by firing rockets into Israel. The same Hamas that flaunts international law by openly calling for the destruction of Israel. The same Hamas that kidnapped Gilad Shalit 1740 days ago and has refused to let him be visited even one time.
You decide–who is the funnier clown: Olmert or Hamas?
