UPDATES 11 am Israel time, Saturday July 6, 2013
*Violent clashes are continuing throughout Egypt as hundreds of thousands have heeded the call of the Muslim Brotherhood to come out in support of deposed Egyptian president Morsi. Though reports are sketchy, it appears that 17 pro-Morsi supporters were killed overnight.
The military takeover in Egypt has been alternately praised (Saudi Arabia) and condemned (Turkey)–in all cases for obvious reasons. One of the most interesting points of praise has come from embattled Syrian president Bashir Bassad who said that the military takeover marks the end of “political Islam.”
*Meanwhile the Egyptian turmoil has given Assad some breathing room to launch a full-scale assault on the rebel stronghold of Homs. As of this morning, Syrian troops seem to be making headway with parts of the city being taken.
The number of casualties is not known.
As sure as the sun comes up here every morning here in Ashdod (and it is particularly bright and beautiful out over the Mediterranean today), there is another “internationalist” condemning some facet of Israeli existence.
In yesterday’s blog, your humble servant chronicled the ludicrous castigation of the president of the International Red Cross which anti-semitically wants to force MADA to remove the Star of David from its ambulances; today we’ll take a look at the comments of Philip Luther, the Middle East and North Africa Director of Amnesty International.
Luther’s remarks Thursday night were directed at the arrest eight days ago of Nariman Tamimi. Tamini was taken into custody for being in a closed military zone beside Nabi Saleh. She and her fellow self-proclaimed “human rights” activists were involved in their usual Friday demonstrations against Israeli security personnel when they decided to veer off course and march down to a security outpost.
Here is Luther’s ludicrous press release:
“[Tamimi’s arrest] is the latest in a litany of human rights violations against Nariman Tamimi, her family, and her fellow villagers. These arbitrary restrictions should be lifted immediately and the charges should be dropped. They have been denied the basic human right to peacefully protest over land illegally seized by Israeli settlers, and the Israeli judiciary has used spurious legal tools to punish them for exercising their basic human right to peaceful protest.”
Peaceful protest? The normal Friday protests are “rock” throwing contests by the “human rights” activists to see who can wound an Israeli.
Land illegally seized by Israeli settlers? The land the activists seek is Israeli government land and has been ruled so by the Israeli Supreme Court (which is no friend of the “settlers” which Luther condemns).
But let’s get back to the hideous Tamimi family and fraudulent Nariman. One hardly knows where to start, but a short list of two of the most widely applauded family members should suffice–two who are applauded by the international community and extolled by the local Nabi Saleh Palestinian settlement.
“Said”, Nariman’s cousin by marriage. In 1993, Said made himself a hero by murdering an Israeli Jew in a nearby community.
“Ahlam”, another of Nariman’s cousins by marriage. On August 9, 2001 she immortalized herself to the Palestinian community by escorting Shuheil al-Masri to the Sbarro Pizza Restaurant in Jerusalem where he blew to pieces 15 Israelis–including 7 children and a pregnant woman who happened to be in the pizza parlor. 130 more were injured including Chana Nachenberg who is in vegetative coma still today. Tamimi, by the way, chose the Sbarro pizza place because it was “full of Jewish children.”
Finally, let’s consider Nariman herself. Take a look at the following pictures–they all have something in common. They are all frauds–posed by Paliwood actress Nariman and her “wanna-be actress” daughters.
We begin with the one that made Nariman’s daughter famous:
But Nariman herself has made it a point not to be excluded from the limelight. She loves pictures that show her being supposedly abused by Israeli soldiers with her daughters fighting and crying for their poor mother:
And yet another one:
Of course, as happens in all such cases, Nariman has become a Paliwood star in her own right. This picture is your humble servant’s favorite:
In any case, for her and her daughter’s “meritorious acting on behalf of the Palestinian cause”, Nariman and her daughters are the now in the Paliwood Hall of Fame so enshrined by the leading Palestinian actor himself, Mahmoud Abbas:
Nariman Tamini is a “human rights” activist? Give me a break. Nariman Tamimi is nothing more than a third rate Paliwood lawbreaker.
