UPDATES: 7:00 pm, Israel time

–>Palestinian terror.

In the last six hours alone, Palestinians have rioted at Husan, Ni’lin, Nabi Saleh, Issawiya, Jalazun, Bi’lin and along the Gaza Border. Of course, the Palestinians did not attack Israeli security personnel alone; they were joined as always by members of self-proclaimed “human rights” NGOs.

“Rock” assaults during the same time period have resulted in a wounded soldier at Bethany, and traumatized motorists at Mt. Hebron, Givat Ronen, and Beit Anun. At the latter location, Palestinian terrorists also threw Molotov firebombs at Israeli vehicles.

–>More on the rock throwing at Bi’lin.

"Rock" throwing in Judea and Samaria. Organized and paid for by "human rights" NGOs funded by international sources.

“Rock” throwing in Judea and Samaria. Organized and paid for by “human rights” NGOs funded by international sources.

Yet another undercover report today reveals just how absurd the “rock” throwing is in Judea and Samaria–and how much of it is manufactured by “human rights” left-wing NGOs.

In this newest report, a Palestinian admitted that he works 5 days a week in construction at Modi’in Illit, and one day a week “throwing rocks” at Israelis at Bi’lin.

Who pays him for to “throw rocks” at Israelis? A “human rights” NGO based in Ramallah funded by international sources.

The Palestinian went on to say that it is important to throw “rocks” in order to preserve the conflict so that he can be paid.

–>The Egyptians flood Palestinian terror tunnels again.

Hamas cried yesterday that Egypt has renewed its efforts to flood tunnels that run under the border between Gaza and Rafah. The tunnels have assumed even more importance than in the past because Egypt has almost completely closed the Rafah land crossing.

Egyptian Colonel Mohammed Ibrahim confirmed the Hamas report: “Only the destruction of tunnels from the Gaza Strip could lead to a situation where it would be possible to end the terror in Sinai. These tunnels are the terrorists’ respiratory pipeline in Sinai.”

–>Israel warns Brazil.

As you may know, Brazil has decided not to accept the diplomatic credentials of Israel Ambassador to Brazil, Dani Dayan–accusing him of being “an Israeli settler.” The Brazilian action effectively leaves Israel with no ambassador to the country.

Yesterday, Israel informed Brazil that it will not appoint a new Ambassador. As Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely pointed out,  “The foreign ministry will use all the tools at its disposal to ensure Dayan’s appointment. The State of Israel will not accept the rejection of an envoy on ideological grounds and we will make this abundantly clear.”

There are even reports that Brazil will be forced to downgrade its diplomatic mission in Israel if it insists on rejecting Dayan.

Your humble servant can only say one thing: “Thank goodness Israel is beginning to show some dignity and self-respect!”

–>Just how low has the U.S. fallen.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest outrageously declared from the White House podium today that the Iranian pictures of U.S. Navy sailors on their knees with their hands behind their backs–and a picture of a female sailor wearing a Muslim head covering were no cause for concern:

“I do not think there is a reason for anyone to be ashamed.”

Doesn’t that say it all about the Obama Administration?

TODAY’S BLOG:

Yesterday, PM Netanyahu came out in defense of Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked’s proposed NGO transparency law which will force NGOs receiving more than half of their funds from foreign sources to reveal those sources. It will also force NGO representatives to wear name tags in the Knesset while they are lobbying.

As you know from reading this blog, the United States has been particularly vocal in its condemnation of the proposed law declaring that it will stifle democracy by suppressing dissent. Similar criticisms have come from Germany, the U.K., France, the Netherlands, and the E.U.–all of which fund NGOs which seek to undermine and delegitimize Israel.

In relationship to the U.S., Netanyahu pointed out that the U.S. House of Representatives passed a measure a year ago which forces each NGO participant at a Congressional hearing to declare the sources of his or her NGO funding in writing before testifying in that hearing.

As Netanyahu said, “I do not understand how transparency is something undemocratic . . .  Transparency is at the heart of democracy.”

Yes, transparency is at the heart of every democracy–every true democracy that is–and not the so-called “democracies” that do everything within their power to undermine the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel.
