UPDATES:

…Palestinian terror unreported by the international mainstream media…

8 am Israel time:

Let’s review the most egregious instances of Palestinian terror attacks in the last two days.

At 9:00 am Thursday, 13 year old Hallel Yaffa Ariel was gruesomely stabbed dozens of times as she slept in her bedroom in Kiryat Arba near Hevron. She was pronounced dead two hours later.

And we are supposed to have peace with savages who slaughter our children?

Hallal’s sister asked her mother Rena after the funeral if some of Hallal’s blood could remain in the room because it was all that she had left of her sister. Then she asked her mother: “When will the next Arab come to kill us?”

At 7:15 pm Thursday, two Israelis were stabbed in a market in Netanya. They both remain hospitalized with one in critical condition.

At 9:48 am Friday, a Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab Border Guards at Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron.

At 2:53 pm Friday, Palestinian terrorists opened fire on Rabbi Michael Mark and his family as they were driving near the Adorayim Junction south of Hevron–spraying the windshield of the car with more than 20 bullets.

Rabbi Mark, the beloved father of 10 children, was killed. His wife was critically wounded. Two children in the car were seriously wounded. Interestingly, Rabbi Yehuda Glick was in the car following that of the Mark family.

At 11:02 pm Friday, a missile fired by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza struck the Sderot Community Kindergarten for Children.

The missile crashed through the roof and exploded in the room (fortunately no children were there).

No one was physically wounded, but numerous people were treated for trauma. A second missile hit the western Negev shortly thereafter.

What has been the reaction of our Israeli government to all of this? Supposedly symbolic but completely useless steps.

There is a real sense here that our leaders are sleeping while the country is burning (picture source on photo).

Hevron was closed off last night–a closure that will probably last a few days at most. PM Netanyahu ordered that the amount of money from Palestinian collected taxes that is used to subsidize Palestinian terrorist families be withheld–almost certainly it will be restored in the coming weeks. Sand dunes and empty buildings were bombed in Gaza overnight–no terrorists were wounded.

TODAY’S BLOG:

So what is the answer to the terrorism sweeping the country?

How do we crush it?

If your humble servant has said it once, he has said it a hundred times: the solution to the problem begins at the holiest place in Judaism, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

We have reached the absurd point that Israeli sovereignty over the Mount exists in name only. Just take a look at a few pictures from yesterday.

The first picture is from the afternoon:

Aside from the anti-Israel banners adorning the Kipat HaSela (Dome of the "Rock" that is the Jewish Foundation Stone), what flag do you see being waved?

Yes, that is the Islamic State flag–one of hundreds that were being waved by the chanting crowd.

This second picture is from last night:

And what flag is this?

And what flag is this?

Yes by nightfall, Islamic State supporters had been joined by Hamas supporters.

Can you even begin to imagine the message it sends to Palestinians when they see Hamas and Islamic State flags being unfurled right in the heart of Jerusalem? right at the holiest place in Judaism? right in front of the totally impotent Jerusalem Police?

And can you even begin to imagine the message it sends to Palestinians when they see Palestinians attacking Jews on the Mount with impunity? And when they see how Palestinian rioters are now able to stop Jews from coming to the Temple Mount whenever they want?

It is a tremendously empowering message which has radiated throughout eastern Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. Palestinians know that they are feared by the government–a government so completely hamstrung by political correctness that it continues to make concession after concession to them even in the face of their incessant violence.

So what needs to happen (and believe me, your humble servant is under no illusion that it will) is for the government to shake off the shackles of political correctness.

After that, in short order:

1. Restore Israeli sovereignty to the Temple Mount. Let it be a symbol of Israeli strength not impotence.

2. Annex Area C of Judea and Samaria. Begin construction on a massive scale. Let all of the international Israel bashers and anti-Israel NGOs stew in their own juices.

3. Close down all roads to Palestinian traffic where Palestinian terror attacks occur.

4. Begin construction in Area C on a massive scale.

5. Cut off all attempts at negotiations with Mahmoud Abbas and the PLO.

6. Go after the leadership of Hamas in Gaza. Every time there is a missile attack on Israel, target a Hamas leader not a sand dune.

Yes, these six points would be a good start to restoring some sense of order in this country.
