Showing Solidarity With Israel?

The IDF General Command cannot stop condemning Azariya . . .

In an ironically juxtapositioned pair of messages today, we first had Defense Minister Lieberman imploring that those who care about the Hevron soldier should now be quiet and wait to see what happens. Lieberman noted that Azariya is an outstanding soldier who killed a terrorist who attempted to kill IDF soldiers.

Nevertheless, Lieberman’s message was shortly followed by yet another blast from the IDF General Command. General Eyal Zamir, commander of the Southern Command denounced our soldier: “Azariya committed an outright criminal offense. The IDF cannot compromise its values and lose its morality. Azariya crossed a legal threshhold but more importantly a moral threshhold.”

Whatever happened to our IDF commanders keeping their mouths shut? The stream of invective spewing forth about Azariya from the General Command only serves to undermine the IDF and reinforce the public’s disregard for the IDF commanders–a disregard which largely stems from the Azariya case.

The world just cannot stop embracing terrorists . . .

Isn’t it interesting that less than a week following a murderous Palestinian terrorist attack which the Palestinian leadership has applauded, the Palestinians will inaugurate their new embassy in the Vatican on Saturday.

In fact, the chief terrorist himself, Chairman of the PLO Mahmoud Abbas, will be at the Vatican to raise the Palestinian flag.

Islamic State attacks on Egyptian forces continue in the Sinai . . .

Another 25 Egyptian soldiers were killed in the Sinai yesterday by terrorists affiliated with Islamic State. The attack was a brazen and sophisticated assault combining a truck bomb and ground assault.

The fact that the attack took place in El Arish, about 25 miles from the Israel border, underscores how the Islamic State is knocking on our door.

Netanyahu will not be in the U.S. for President-elect Trump’s inauguration . . .

This morning the Prime Minister’s office issued a statement that Netanyahu will not accept the invitation to attend the inauguration. The ostensible reason is that Netanyahu wants to remain in Israel to deal with the fallout from the upcoming Paris “Peace Conference.”

However, one could reasonably ask what Netanyahu can possibly do in Jerusalem to influence the foregone conclusions in Paris? The answer is nothing.

There is a perfect cure for this ED issue Kamagra. lowest price for cialis Vitamin E is available in nuts, grains, plant purchasing that on line levitra oils and avocadoes, to name a few sources. Consequently, it is crucial to bring sildenafil mastercard at discount with an endorsement of a spelevitrat to guarantee safe ED treatment. In that levitra 10 mg tenure, the Giants finished a game over .500 in the strike-shortened 1981 season.
All of which begs the question of what is Netanyahu’s real motivation in not going to Washington. Is it because of the corruption allegations against Netanyahu? Is it for some other reason?

TODAY’S BLOG

Showing Solidarity With Israel?

In the aftermath of the gruesome terror attack in Jerusalem, there have been a number of statements and gestures of solidarity with Israel.

*The Brandenburg Gate in Berlin was covered with a light-display Israeli flag.

*The municipality of Rotterdam flew an Israeli flag half-mast from the top of City Hall.

*The City Hall in Paris, Hotel de Ville, will be illuminated with an Israeli flag tonight.

*The U.S. State Department issued this statement: “We condemn in the strongest possible terms today’s horrific vehicular attack by a terrorist in Jerusalem.‎ There is absolutely no justification for these brutal and senseless attacks.”

*The European Union also condemned the attack: “The EU condemns the murder of these four young Israelis, as well as any praise or incitement for terrorist acts.”

Let’s stop right there.

Your humble servant is sick and tired of kumbaya gestures of solidarity and statements of condemnation every time a terror attack occurs in Israel.

For example, where were all of countries represented above when the United Nations passed Security Council Resolution 2334–which, in essence, is nothing more than blatant incitement for terrorist attacks.

Showing solidarity with Israel means standing up for Israel all the time, not just when Israelis get killed.
