The News On The Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

In Judea and Samaria:

*A Palestinian  terrorist was captured this morning outside of Kochav Yaakov:

This photo taken at the scene will answer the question:

He tried to carry out a stabbing attack.

*The manhunt continues for the murderers of Rina Schenrav. So far, four Palestinians have been arrested by police who believe they were accomplices of the murderers. Rina’s father and brother were both taken out of ICU this morning.

*Palestinian terrorists threw “rocks” and Molotovs near Ariel, Hawara,  Luban A-Sharqiya, and at a dozen other places.

Along the Gaza Border:

In case you missed it, more than 9000 Hamasniks “demonstrated” on the border on Friday and Saturday.

Of course they were not “demonstrating”; as we briefly noted yesterday, 114 explosives were thrown, 29 bombs planted along the fence,  and 3 border infiltrations took place.

An interesting video surfaced on Gaza media after the “demonstrations”. It shows a supposedly (it is difficult to differentiate between real and faux wounds) wounded young man (in the ankle and foot) being offloaded at a Gaza health clinic. As the young man is removed, he is slapped on the head and cursed by his father for not getting killed for “Palestine.” You can watch it here.

Elsewhere dozens of explosives balloons were launched into southern Israel, and fires were reported in the Eshkol Region and at Be’eri.

Carnage on the roads . . .

As we have continually noted, driving on the roads in Israel is an increasingly risky proposition. Excessive speed, bizarre lane changing, and drivers talking on phones coupled with ever more cars is producing absolute carnage.

We learned yesterday that between January 1 of this year and July 31, there were 7,455 traffic accidents in which 193 Israelis were killed.

Last month alone, 32 Israelis were killed, 168 were critically injured, and 1,582 more were “moderately” injured.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Gen. Suleimani Gets The Green Light To Go After Israel

In Israel, you can always tell where the next outbreak of violence may take place by just watching the movement of Iron Dome batteries. Because Israel only has about 12 functioning batteries, they are constantly being moved from location to location by the IDF.

Yesterday, most of them were pulled out of southern Israel and moved to the north along the Golan Heights.

Why?

Apparently, the Iranians are extremely disturbed over the fact that their proxy forces along with their own Revolutionary Guards in Syria, Iraq, and even Lebanon are now being attacked on a daily basis by Israel.

With complete impunity.

The word on the street is that General Qassam Suleimani** has received the green light from Khamenei in Tehran to mount offensive operations against Israel from the Syria.

Aware of this, Israel carried out a devastating attack last night on Iranian Quds “militiamen” southeast of Damascus in the village of Agraba where an attack on Israel was being planned. Part of the attack plan was to launch bomb-carrying drones into northern Israel.

Warehouses and drones were destroyed, and the death toll from the attack continues mounting: the latest toll is 28 killed, including 15 Syrian soldiers, 8 Iranians from Suleimani’s Quds Force, and 5 members of Hezbollah.

The considered judgement of the IDF is that we won’t have to wait long until the Iranians come after us again.

**Various news sources reported yesterday that General Suleimani was in the gunsights of American special forces a number of times in 2014-5, but each time President Obama explicitly ordered American troops not to kill him.
