A Pathetically Small Number of Pathetic People

14 Days Until The Election

By the numbers:

*2: the number of Iranian generals who have now been killed on the Israel-Syrian border. The latest, yesterday, was General Ali Ridi Tocli Abu Hamed who was the general in command of all the mercenaries that Iran has been flying into Syria from Afghanistan and Iraq.  In a separate attack, Syrian rebels killed a Syrian Brigadier General and his two aides in a car bomb attack in Damascus.

The fact that Iran is now firmly on the Syrian border with Israel should not be forgotten while listening to Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech today.

*3: the number of Israeli traitors who were indicted yesterday after the discovery that they have sold Hamas in Gaza $30 million dollars worth of iron plates, cement, steel cables, pipes, and electronic materials for specific use in missile and tunnel production for the last two years–increasing their sales during Israel’s war with Hamas last summer.

Two of the men–Yehoram Alon and Naji Zoarov are so-called “businessmen” from the central region of Israel; the third, Micha Peretz, is a resident of the Eshkol region beside Gaza. In your humble servant’s opinion, all three should be tried for treason and murder.

92%: the percentage by which Jewish visits to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem have increased since 2009 despite efforts by the Netanyahu government, Jerusalem police, and Islamic Wakf to stop them. One of the people mainly responsible for this surge has been Rabbi Yehuda Glick, the survivor of an assassination attempt last year.

In a rather amazing ruling yesterday, Judge Malka Aviv awarded Glick 500,000 shekels in damages and 150,000 shekels in legal costs for damages that he personally suffered by virtue of the Jerusalem Police prohibiting him from taking tour groups to the Mount. In making this determination Aviv affirmed an Israel Supreme Court decision that decided that Jews have every right to pray at the site.

The attorney who represented Glick had this to say afterward: “Starting from today, all Jews are allowed to pray on the Temple Mount. There is no longer any crime in prayer itself.”

We’ll see if that is actually true.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Of course, we are all waiting to see what PM Netanyahu will say before the U.S. Congress this afternoon (6 pm Israel time, 11 am Eastern time). Judging from what he said at the AIPAC convention yesterday, it should be a forceful speech that spells out in detail how Iran is sponsoring terror around the world and accelerating its nuclear weapons program.

Not surprisingly, the leftist Israeli media is focusing not on the speech but on the 60 Congressional Obama sycophants who plan to boycott the speech–despite the fact that this number is a paltry 11% of the total number of Senators and Congressmen in the U.S. Congress.

In fact, given the all-out push by the White House to have legislators not attend, it is a pathetically small number of pathetic people.

The sole purpose of this blog today is to name and shame these cowards–and encourage each one of you, especially those of you in the U.S. who happen to live in a state or district of one of these infamous 60, to contact him or her immediately.
