**The saga of Matishayu continues. . .

As you all know by now, dear readers, the American Jewish singer Matishayu was disinvited from the Spanish reggae festival Rototem Sunsplash last week because he refused to declare support for a Palestinian state.

To its credit, the Spanish government led by its Foreign Ministry immediately condemned the festival organizers saying that it “rejects boycott campaigns and any sign of anti-Semitism.” It further noted that: “Imposing a public declaration on Matishayu puts into question the principle of non-discrimination on which all plural and diverse societies are based.”

Late yesterday, the festival organizers admitted they had succumbed to BDS pressure, reversed course, apologized, and reinvited the singer: “Rototom Sunsplash apologizes publicly to Matisyahu for cancelling his concert and announces that it has invited him to perform next Saturday, Aug. 22, at the festival as initially planned.”

Stay tuned to find out if Matisyahu decides to sing in Spain or not.

**The comedic saga of Islamic Jihad terrorist and hunger striker Muhammad Alan continues . . .

In a decision that has angered virtually everyone on the Israeli street, the Israel Supreme Court ordered yesterday that Alan be removed temporarily from administrative detention yesterday. Nevertheless, he has apparently been ordered to remain in the Ashkelon hospital where he resides.

The basis of the decision was an MRI which apparently shows that Alan is suffering brain damage from his self-imposed hunger strike. However, it is unknown whether the damage is permanent or reversible.

Your humble servant would suggest that Alan was brain damaged to begin with and has merely exacerbated his condition for political gain.

TODAY’S BLOG:

It was an all around bad for the Palestinians yesterday.

The UN announced that its doctors had confirmed that examinations of 200 Palestinians in the Yarmouk and Yalda neighborhoods showed that there are 6 cases of typhus. UNRWA warned that unless further aid reaches the neighborhood, more cases may break out.

Nevermind the thousands of cases of typhoid that have broken out all across Syria, the world needs to come to a stop because of the 6 Palestinians.

Lebanon announced that a boat carrying 40 Palestinian self-declared “refugees” enroute to Turkey capsized and that at least 9 Palestinian “migrants” drowned. It warned that unless Europe does something, more Palestinians may soon drown as well.

Nevermind that some 2,350 “migrants” from the Middle East and Africa have drowned trying to reach Europe in the last few months, the world needs to come to a stop because of the 9 Palestinians.

Egypt announced late last night that a bus in the Sinai carrying Palestinians from the Rafah Crossing to El Arish was stopped by gunmen, and 4 Palestinians were kidnapped.

Nevermind terrorists in the Sinai that have killed hundreds of people in all sorts of unseemly ways, 4 Palestinians were kidnapped; the world must do something.

Hamas in Gaza announced yesterday that the Palestinians were about to revolt in Gaza because of UNRWA funding cuts.

Nevermind that UNRWA is the only agency in the United Nations dedicated to one group of people, or that it forks out one billion dollars a year to “take care of the poor Palestinians”, now that there is a shortage of funds, the world must act immediately to stop a Palestinian revolt.

How did we ever get to the point where the world is obsessed with the Palestinians? Is it that the Palestinians are masters of propaganda and public relations? Is it that the Palestinians are an inherently infantile people unable to fend for themselves? Is it that the world feels so threatened by the prospect of Palestinian violence that it kowtows to their every demand?

Whatever the answer is, the situation is–to use your humble servant’s favorite word–pathetic.
