UPDATES 5 pm Israel time:

–>Palestinian terror yesterday (Monday).

The burned out buses from yesterday.

The burned out buses from yesterday.

Aside from the bomb on the Jerusalem bus which wounded 20, the child who was wounded by “rocks” in Ir David, the cyclist who was wounded by “rocks” on the Anatot-Hizma road, and the bulldozer attack on an Israeli soldier at the Shuqba intersection last night, what happened?

Palestinian terrorists assaulted Israelis in/at/on the Old City of Jerusalem, Shuafat, Deir Mashal, Pedu’el, Yafia (2 buses damaged), the Husan Bypass Road, Kalandiya, Makel, Efrat, Givat Assaf, Hevron, Beit Hanina, and throughout Gush Etzion.

In brazen displays of terrorism, Palestinians firebombed an IDF observation post near Ariel and a gate along the Gush Etzion security fence.

The observation post near Ariel ablaze last night.

The observation post near Ariel ablaze last night.

–>The sheer absurdity of the Jerusalem Police attempt yesterday to not call the bombing “terrorism” . . .

In the hours immediately following the bombing yesterday, the Jerusalem Police went to extraordinary lengths to characterize what took place as “not terrorism.” It was only after a Hadassah Hospital doctor went on Israeli TV and described the wounds from “nails, screws, and bolts” that the police were forced to change their tune.

As of today, two Israelis remain in critical condition, and police believe that one of the less seriously wounded, an Arab Palestinian apparently from eastern Jerusalem with no identification, may have been the bomber.

–>Whom did the Netanyahu government blame the bombing on?

Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan declared that it was “Jews” going to the Temple Mount that motivated the bomber.

Jews going to the Mount? What Jews? In case Erdan has been asleep for the last few years, virtually no Jews are permitted at the holiest site in Judaism.

–>The tunnel fiasco continued.

Do you remember how at the end of the 2014 war with Hamas, the IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz and “Defense” Minister Moshe Ya’alon proclaimed far and wide that the IDF had destroyed all the terrorist tunnels coming from Gaza into Israel?

Do you remember how in the intervening months since then and now, the IDF has continuously declared that there were no more tunnels coming into Israel–and that the residents of southern Israel who constantly reported hearing drilling noises under their homes were just “hearing things”?

Now that a gigantic Hamas tunnel has been discovered that extends far into Israel, the IDF has issued a new statement.

Yesterday, an IDF spokesman declared that southern Israelis should not worry. Even though the IDF now believes that there are undoubtedly more Hamas tunnels under Israel, the IDF will have a solution to the tunnels by 2018.

2018.  Incredible.

–>Passover supplies for IDF soldiers.

82 tons of matza, 27 tons of biscuits and cakes, 15,000 units of charoset, 4,800 units of horseradish, 3.9 tons of potato flour, 2.8 tons of dumpling powder and more have been delivered to IDF bases all over the country in advance of Passover which begins on Friday night.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The Obama Administration struck again yesterday in the forms of State Department Spokesman John Kirby and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

Kirby led off with a scathing attack on Israel declaring that the Obama Administration does not consider the Golan Heights part of Israel.  Kirby went on to say that the Golan Heights should be returned to Syria in a way to be decided on through negotiations between Syria and Israel.

Can you believe this?

The Golan Heights were under Syrian sovereignty from 1947 until 1967–during which time the Syrians forfeited any claim they had to the territory by constantly attacking Israel–and specifically by launching their 1967 attack on Israel from the Heights.

For the last 49 years, the Golan Heights have been in Israeli hands–and the Heights were annexed to Israel in 1981–37 years ago.

Back to the idiotic Kirby who acknowledged ” the current situation in Syria makes it difficult to continue those efforts at this time.” Can you even begin to imagine what would have happened if Syria had had control of the Heights at the beginning of the Syrian civil war? Islamic State, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, and Iran would be sitting on the banks of the Kineret (Sea of Galilee).

Kirby’s comments were followed up by those of Biden who spoke at the J Street’s annual “pro-Palestinian and pro-Obama” conference currently taking place in Washington.

An angry Biden berates Israel again--this time of his pro-Palestinian friends at J Street.

An angry Biden berates Israel again–this time of his pro-Palestinian friends at J Street.

What did Biden have to say?

“We have an overwhelming obligation, notwithstanding our sometimes overwhelming frustration with the Israeli government, to push them as hard as we can toward what they know in their gut is the only ultimate solution, a two-state solution, while at the same time be an absolute guarantor of their security.”

Can you believe this?

“We have an overwhelming obligation to push them as hard as we can toward what they know in their gut?” Stop and think about the overwhelming arrogance embodied in this statement. The U.S. has to tell Israelis what we think.

Here’s a news flash for Biden: we Israelis live on the front lines of Palestinian terrorism. No one has to tell us what we think or feel. We are a democratic country, and we elect leaders to represent what we think and feel. Isn’t it about time for the Obama Administration to respect the democratic process in Israel?

And “our sometimes overwhelming frustration with the Israeli government?” What kind of nonsense is this? Israel already kowtows to Obama by virtually freezing all construction in Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem–but apparently we just don’t kowtow enough. How much do we have to kowtow to Obama for him to embrace us as he does the autocratic despots of Iran and Saudi Arabia?

One last comment about Biden’s “an absolute guarantor of their security.”

*Israelis have watched as the Obama Administration has signed an Appeasement Agreement with Iran which places all Israelis at risk.

*Israelis have watched as Obama inaction has brought Iran, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda, and IS to our “Syrian” border.

*Israelis watched as Obama cut off supplies to Israel during the 2014 war with Hamas Gaza.

The U.S. is an absolute guarantor of our security? What a joke. The only absolute guarantor of Israeli security is Israel.
