UPDATES 6:00 pm Israel time:

–>Palestinian terror over the Passover weekend.

It has been a relatively quiet Passover weekend with only about 30 terror attacks between Friday and this moment.

“Rock” assaults have taken place throughout Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem in such places as Halhul, the Hebron Hills, Al-Khader, Gush Etzion, Karmi Tzur, A-Ram, Bir Nabala, A-Tor, Ofra, Beit Ummar, Qadum, Ni’lin, Halamish, and Kedumim.

During the same time, Israeli security forces at Rachel’s Tomb outside of Bethlehem were hit by IEDs; fortunately no Israelis were wounded.

–>”Large numbers of Jews visit the Temple Mount.”

Or so the Jerusalem Police would have us believe.

The actual numbers were that 1043 people ascended the Mount, 885 were tourists. You can do the math as to how many Jews were allowed on the Mount. In addition to the 185 Jews who were allowed up, 13 were arrested for various offenses such as wearing “Jewish clothes” and attempting to carry out sacrifices.

Compare this with the 1,000,000 Muslims that ascended the Mount during the last Ramadan period.

–>Meanwhile Israelis flocked to nature for Passover.

The National Parks Authority estimated that 180,000 Israelis were at the beach or in forests or hiking in the desert yesterday.

One of the most popular sites was Kfar Blum where Israelis rafted, floated, kayaked, and canoed down the Jordan River.

The Jordan was jammed yesterday.

The Jordan was jammed yesterday.

All eight beaches at the Kineret (Sea of Galilee) had to be closed after they reached full capacity.

–>New numbers on the size of Israel’s Leviathan off-shore gas field.

And they are not good. A new analysis of rock cores taken from underground layers where gas is located reveal that the field contains about 16.6 trillion cu ft instead of the 21.9 trillion cu ft originally estimated. In other words, the field is about 25% smaller than has been touted.

Of course all of these numbers are speculation as the Supreme Court has put a halt to the development of Leviathan.

By the way, the Supreme Court action has not stopped Gazprom, the Russian natural gas giant, from attempting to buy 30% of Leviathan’s natural gas however much gas is located there.

–>What does BDS have to do with Batman vs Superman?

The head of BDS Lebanon demanded that the Lebanese government yesterday prohibit the movie from being shown in the country.

Why? Because Israeli actress Gal Gadot is one of the stars, and Gadot served in the Israeli Army and was Miss Israel.

TODAY’S BLOG:

On its face, Comet-ME is nothing more than a benign, good-hearted Israeli-Palestinian nonprofit organization. On its webpage, it describes its mission as “providing sustainable energy and clean water services to off-grid communities.”

Comet’s self-description continues:  “We facilitate social and economic empowerment of some of the most marginalized communities in the West Bank through the construction of wind and solar systems, water solutions, capacity building and maintenance.”

So far so good, right?

Wrong.

The moment we begin to delve more deeply into Comet-ME is the moment that we see that Comet-ME is not all that it appears to be.

First, we come to the “About Us” page which states the Mission Statement given above in a decidedly different way:

“We facilitate social and economic empowerment of some of the poorest and most marginalized communities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories . . .”

Suddenly, marginalized communities in the West Bank have morphed into marginalized communities in the Occupied Palestinian territories.

This morphing becomes completely unsurprising when we learn that Comet-ME CEO is Elad Orian, who also just happens to sit on the Oversight Committee of Zochrot–a despicable ultra left-wing organization which tirelessly promotes the Palestinian narrative of the Nakba through continuous film festivals and conventions. Zochrot is a major proponent of BDS.

But back to Comet-ME. It has come to light this morning that Comet-ME has been particularly active in Area C recently. It has been busy building illegal structures all over the Hebron region, centered in Sussiya. Most of these structures are wind turbines placed in such a way as to create “facts on the ground” by attracting Palestinians to them to create new Palestinian settlements.

The illegal structures that Comet-ME has built all around Sussiya (in the middle of the picture).

The illegal structures that Comet-ME has built all around Sussiya (in the middle of the picture).

Again, all of this illegal building is taking place in Area C, an area which is under complete Israeli control.

One last word about who is funding Comet-ME.

The European Union,  the usual list of European “NGOs”, and some American entities such as the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

Oh yes, and there is one other American entity hard at work trying to create a Palestinian Area C. And that entity is the Clinton Global Initiative.

And who runs the Clinton Global Initiative? Bill and Hillary Clinton–the latter of whom has promised to be a strong supporter of Israel should she be elected in November.

Sure thing. Just like she has been all along–especially when she endlessly excoriated Israel during her tenure as Secretary of State.
