…Israelis leave the country in droves…on vacation…
In August, an extraordinary number of Israelis left the country on location. When you stop and think that there are only about 8 million Israelis, would it surprise you to learn that almost 900,000 of them left the country in August?
Including 71,000 Israelis who went through the Taba Crossing into the Egyptian Sinai (despite the threat of IS terrorism there).
In other words, about 1 in 8 Israelis took a break from the pressure-cooker that is Israel.

What a surprise…not…
It was a mere two days ago that we wrote the blog The Rigged Results Yesterday From the Palestinian Election on October 8th. In that blog, we revealed how the PLO had fixed the elections by producing so-called “consensus lists” which denied Palestinians the right to vote in 136 Palestinian “municipalities” (read “settlements and encampments”).
At the end of that blog, your humble servant commented:
“. . . you can be sure that whatever voting takes place on October 8th will be just as corrupt as what was announced yesterday.”
Well guess what?
No voting will take place on October 8th.
Yesterday, the self-proclaimed “Palestinian Authority High Court of Justice”, otherwise known as the PLO Court of Farce, declared that the October 8th election has been indefinitely postponed.
The supposed reason given is that the “courts” in Gaza can’t be trusted and the status of Palestinian voters in eastern Jerusalem is in question. Of course, the real reason is that Hamas would easily win the election.

In other words, Palestinians will once again be denied the right to vote by Palestinians, the PLO will remain in control of Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria, and Mahmoud Abbas will remain the unelected “President of Palestine.”

Spurred by the hideous legal organization of Yesh Din, Palestinians have suddenly begun claiming that every piece of Area C is theirs. And our utterly leftist Israel Supreme Court has been giving credence to virtually every claim–no matter how spurious.
Back on August 3rd, your humble servant wrote a blog concerning the Hobson’s Choice facing the residents of the Jewish community of Amona.
Specifically, the Amona residents are being given the choice of:
staying in their homes and being forcibly thrown out by December 25th because of the fact that their homes supposedly sit on “private Palestinian land”
(or)
signing a new three-year-lease for a piece of nearby property which is also classified as “private Palestinian land” but is also classified as “absentee” land which essentially means that no “owner” has been seen or heard from since at least 1948.
The government deal specifies that should any “owner” show up, the Amona residents would have to leave their newly received property.
In that August blog, I wrote:
And of course who knows who will reappear once there is money to be had.
Well guess what?
It didn’t take long for “landowners” to crawl out of the woodwork. Yesterday, Yesh Din submitted papers purporting to show that “heirs to the land” are now claiming the land. In other words, relatives of the original landowners who have magically turned up courtesy of Yesh Din now claim that the land is theirs.
What a surprise…not…
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
