The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis with “rocks” and Molotovs at Karnei Shomron, Beit Omer, on Road 55, at Adam Square, Luban a-Sharqiya (Israeli wounded in the head), Road 443 near the Dor Alon Gas station, al-Fawwar, and between Betilo and Wadi Zarqa.
Palestinian terrorists attacked the security fence of Psagot with Molotovs.
Palestinian terrorists attacked IDF troops between Kiryat Arba and Hevron, and at the IDF post at the Avraham Hassono Junction on Mt. Hevron.
A stabbing attack was thwarted in Hevron when alert Border Guards captured a terrorist with a knife.
The PLO wins again . . .
As we reported yesterday, the PLO and Israel were in “negotiations” with a European mediator to get the PLO to take its tax money collected by Israel.
When reporting this, we wondered what concessions Israel would have to make in order to get the PLO to take the money.
This morning came the answer. Israel must no longer offset the money the PLO pays to Palestinian terrorists in prison from the tax money.
Unbelievable.
The “daily” Corona (Covid-19) update . . .
The following covers the last 24 hours (from 8 am yesterday until 8 am today):

There are now 10,657 active Corona cases in Israel.
What’s up in Lebanon? . . . Rumors . . . Rumors . . .
There are reports today that a number of governments have ordered their diplomatic personnel to leave Lebanon immediately.
Supposedly, there are rumors that the U.S. and Israel could be planning to hit Hezbollah before President Trump leaves office.
At the same time, there are even more rumors that the U.S. and Israel are planning to render the Iranian nuclear program unviable even if a President Biden decides to return to the Iranian Nuclear Weapons Appeasement Agreement.
Your humble servant doesn’t place much credence in these reports; however, they are interesting.
And by the way, American Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is about to visit Israel.
TODAY’S BLOG:
The Aerial Military Arsenal Surrounding Israel
Your humble servant believes that it is past time for all of us to begin to think seriously about the degree to which the Trump Administration has decided to increase the airpower of countries in the Gulf.
The 50 F35s that the the U.S. has agreed to sell the UAE was a hugely negative development, but Netanyahu and his minions justified it on the basis that the planes could never reach Israel. We have already blogged about the fact that this is not true if one considers air refueling–or if closer Arab countries allow UAE planes to be forward positioned.
But now comes word that the U.S. is making a multi-billion dollar deal with Saudi Arabia which will include a vast upgrading of its fighter aircraft. The difference is that these planes are 15 minutes from Israel if based at Saudi Arabia’s northern King Faisal Air Base in Tabuk.
It also means they will not attempt to buy it illegally or order from the internet, which can be used for different purposes. viagra without prescription Kamagra can be found in the form of viagra generika 5, 10 and 20 mg tablets. Just think about the following information from the World Directory of Modern Aircraft WDMMA as to how many fighter aircraft the countries around us have:
Egypt

Jordan
44 fighter aircraft which are 44 F-16s
Iran

Saudi Arabia

Adding all of this up reaches a total of 1,069 fighter aircraft in the area which could be used against Israel. This does not even count aircraft in other countries in the region.
So how many fighter aircraft does Israel have? 251

102 F-16 Is
73 F-16 Cs
25 F-15 Is
17 F-15 Cs

What is the bottom line? Israel is surrounded–outnumbered 4-1 in fighter aircraft. Obviously Israel has a major edge in technology and pilot training, but the skies are getting more crowded and dangerous by the minute.
