Obama’s Complicity: Murder in Libya and Attacks On U.S. Embassies

UPDATE 9 am Israel time Thursday:

Another day, another missile . . . and two more mortars: Ashkelon and the northern Negev were hit yesterday in the nonstop violence emanating from Palestinian Gaza. And again, there was no response whatsoever from the IDF–not even the bombing of empty “terror hubs” and “smuggling tunnels”.

Is it possible this morning for anyone in the world to not understand how the Obama Administration has been complicit in the murder of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and the assaults against the American embassies in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and throughout the Muslim world?

Simply put, what President Obama has done (in conjunction with other Western leaders) is to create an environment in which Islamism has been allowed and even encouraged to flourish.

From the moment that Mr. Obama became president, his embrace of Islam has been dramatic and unwavering. Moreover, in going to such places as Cairo to speak at an avowedly Muslim university and apologize for America’s treatment of Muslims to using the power of the United States to underwrite the so-called “Arab Spring”, Obama has repeatedly shown himself to be remarkably ignorant as to the ramifications of his actions.

And remarkably ignorant of Islam itself. The events of the last day and a half have demonstrated yet again the juvenile intolerance of a Muslim world that is so obsessively dysfunctional that a 13 minute youtube of a supposed trailer of a supposed movie about Mohammed can send it into paroxysms of violence. It is a Muslim world in which “moderation” does not exist, and the word “freedom” is an anathema–whether it be freedom of religion, freedom of women, or freedom of speech.

What is almost more incredible is that the Obama Administration apparently still does not understand Islam nor understand its complicity in what has taken place. It simply cannot or is unwilling to connect the dots.

Yesterday saw the White House issuing this statement concerning the killing of Ambassador Stevens: “While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.”

If there is one thing that we have learned here in Israel, it is that Islam continually denigrates the religious beliefs of others and perpetrates violence against those who disagree with it. “Senseless violence”? From the standpoint of Islam, it is not senseless at all–it is perfectly sensible to eradicate “infidels.”

For her part yesterday, Secretary of State Clinton was at a complete loss to comprehend how the Ambassador’s murder could have possibly occurred in Benghazi “which the U.S. helped to liberate earlier this year”. “Liberate”? All the U.S. helped do was to unleash the Islamist forces in Libya–and it wouldn’t surprise your humble servant too much to find out that the RPG that hit the Ambassador’s car was supplied to the “rebels” by the United States.

This morning, Clinton, on behalf of the White House and the Libyan government, is rushing to establish the Obama narrative that the murder was the work of a ‘small, savage group’ of Al-Qaeda–presumably the same “small savage group” that attacked the American embassy in Cairo yesterday: climbing over the Embassy wall, assaulting people and property with rocks, and burning American flags–and presumably the same “small savage group of thousands” who marched in Gaza and a hundred other places in the Muslim world yesterday chanting “Death to America” and burning American flags.

A few final notes:

Of course, Israel and “the Jews” have been figuring prominently in this most recent story of Muslim violence.

Surely you have read by now that the supposed film was made and directed by Sam Bacile–“a Jewish Israeli real estate developer in southern California”, and that it was funded by “100 wealthy Jewish donors” (do you detect echoes of “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”?)

As it turns out of course, there is no such person as Sam Bacile either in the U.S. or Israel (from the first time your humble servant read the name, he could not help but think that someone had cobbled it together from “Islam Imbecile”).

But the facile willingness of the media to buy into this anti-Semitic and anti-Israel canard has been astonishing to see with virtually no journalists bothering to check out the story before disseminating it. As of the writing of this blog, the information is still up on the websites of the such American news outlets as CNN and Fox News.

By the time the following had been published yesterday by Jeffrey Goldberg at the Atlantic magazine, the damage had been done. Goldberg, interviewed a Christian, Steve Klein, who was a supposed consultant on “Bacile’s” film:

He said the man who identified himself as Bacile asked him to help make the anti-Muhammad film. When I asked him to describe Bacile, he said: “I don’t know that much about him. I met him, I spoke to him for an hour. He’s not Israeli, no. I can tell you this for sure, the State of Israel is not involved . . . His name is a pseudonym. All these Middle Eastern folks I work with have pseudonyms. I doubt he’s Jewish. I would suspect this is a disinformation campaign.”

The latest news from the Associated Press, which is bound to change during the day, is that “Sam Becile” is actually “Nakoula Basseley Nakoula” a Coptic Christian who immigrated to the U.S. from Egypt.

But the world would rather believe that he is a Jew from Israel.
