Haneen Zoabi, the Knesset member from the Balad political party who was recently disqualified from running in the coming elections by the Israel Elections Commission because of her terrorist statements and actions, has been cleared to run today by the Israel Supreme Court in a unanimous ruling.
This decision, and what it says about the need for Israeli judicial reform, will be the subject of tomorrow’s blog.

The wholesale destruction of the holiest place in Judaism, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, continues unchecked. The last week has again seen the Islamic Wakf digging up truckloads of dirt, stones, and archaeological relics from the Mount.

A few months ago, your humble servant and his wife spent an afternoon sifting through thousands of years of archaeological treasures which had been unceremoniously dug up and dumped by the Wakf.
Virtually every sifting reveals some shard of pottery or stone of Jewish religious significance. Unfortunately, removed from their context, such “discoveries” are immeasurably diminished.
Why the world does not cry out in protest over this destruction of the site of the first and second Jewish Temples is beyond my comprehension. Why UNESCO does not even comment about the continuing desecration of the Temple Mount defies understanding.
But what is most appalling is that the Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu does nothing to stop the Wakf.
