**Snow continues falling all over Israel from Dimona to Jerusalem to the Galilee–even in your humble servant’s city of Ashdod. Israelis have been reveling in the “white stuff” with sledding, skiing, snowball throwing and all of the other activities that one associates with snow. Of course the Palestinians have built their own snowmen such as this one photographed on the Temple Mount today:

**Speaking of the Palestinians, it has been a day like any other in Judea and Samaria with incidents of mob attacks against IDF soldiers, and “rock” attacks against Israeli motorists braving the snow-covered roads.

**A spokesman for Egyptian President Morsi announced today that the PLO and Hamas have agreed to immediately implement a reconciliation agreement. PLO head Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal signed the agreement in Cairo under the auspices of Morsi.

It has long been a sore point with your humble servant that Palestinian terrorist prisoners have been afforded the right to study at the Israel Open University. It has been simply absurd that the murderers of Israel men, women, and children have been able to study for academic degrees.

To some degree, this practice was halted last year when the Netanyahu government announced that it was suspending such privileges. Immediately, however, so-called “human rights” lawyers filed petitions with the Israel Supreme Court to have the study privileges reinstated.

Last month, the Court somewhat surprisingly ruled that the government had every right to suspend terrorists’ “study rights”.

This morning more than 90 faculty and staff of the Open University of Israel have issued a statement protesting the Israel Supreme Court decision:

“Prison walls cannot separate a prisoner from his dignity. [We have] serious concern that the decision not to allow them to study is driven by a vindictive nationalist rationale. The Court’s position is contrary to the mission of the Open University which carries the banner of the accessibility of higher education for all interested–regardless of religion, race, gender, and nationality, and without the requirement to certify good character.”

Can you even believe this? Without the requirement to certify good character? Vicious murderers are now put in the same category of people of religion, race, gender, and nationality?

It simply boggles the mind the extent to which Israeli “leftists” will go to promote their agenda.
