The Palestinian attempt to murder and terrorize Israelis takes place on a daily basis on a scale that is rarely discussed and virtually never reported in the international press. The failure of most of these attempts is a testament to the constant vigilance of our brave members of Shin Bet, the IDF, the Border Guards, and Israeli police.
Last night provided yet another example of such vigilance.
An IDF platoon leader from the Lavi Battalion of the Kfir Brigade heard two explosions 300 meters from the IDF position at a pillbox near the Hawara checkpoint near Shechem (Nablus). The squad commander, a “Sgt. Davidov”, identified two terrorists running away from the position and immediately took action. The platoon was able to quickly overtake and capture the terrorists.
As it evolved, the two terrorists were from a settlement around Shechem and had thrown two Molotov cocktails at the Hawara checkpoint as an unsuccessful diversion. But that was just the tip of the iceberg.

In the process of their capture, Israeli troops discovered knives, three Molotov cocktails, and three large explosive devices.
