**Now that he is feeling better after extensive cancer surgery, Turkish PM Erdogan was back to his old self in Vienna today absurdly calling Zionism “a crime against humanity.” The event was the specious United Nations sponsored “Fifth Alliance of Civilizations.” Erdogan’s comment comes just before an apparent forthcoming partial (and pathetic) Israeli apology to Turkey for killing the Turkish terrorists on board the Mavi Marmara on May 31, 2010.
**Yityish Aynaw, a 21 year old Ethiopian-Israeli from Netanya became the first ever Ethiopian born woman to win the title of Miss Israel in Israel’s national beauty pageant last night.

**The IDF Operations Directorate reported yesterday that there were 26 attempted kidnappings of IDF soldiers by Palestinian terrorists in 2012. This number is compared to 11 attempted abductions in 2011. Fortunately, all of the attempts were unsuccessful, but why was there an increase? According to the IDF, it was because of the Gilad Shalit deal which was viewed as a great success by Palestinian terrorists of all stripes.
**Good news and bad news from the United Kingdom. The bad news is that the Deputy Israeli ambassador to England was heckled to the point of being unable to continue a speech he was making at Essex University. The good news is that the Oxford Student Union overwhelmingly rejected (69-10) a motion to boycott Israeli products and companies. A second motion that the Oxford Student Union join the global Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions (BDS) movement was voted down by the same 69-10 vote.

The Parchin nuclear weapons facility--new photographs show its recent expansion.
The irony was hard to miss yesterday. In the face of photographic evidence that the Iranians have expanded their nuclear facility in Parchin, the P5 + 1 nations (the U.S., Russia, France, Germany, Britain, and China) completely caved in to Iranian demands–as we always knew they would eventually would.
At a meeting in Almaty, Kazakhstan (less media coverage) , the P5 + 1 rewarded the Iranians for their complete refusal to negotiate the end of their nuclear program by presenting a new proposal which will allow the Iranians to continue operating their underground uranium enrichment center in Fordo (after a temporary suspension of activities) and even permit Iran to hold stockpiles of uranium that it has already enriched to 20%.
In other words, the Iranians can continue their nuclear program with no interruption. The idiotic P5 + 1 even bought into the Iranian claim that they were enriching the uranium at Iran’s Tehran research reactor for “medical isotopes.”
If all of this is not preposterous enough, the P5 + 1 pleaded with Iran to allow more frequent visits by monitors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) “to prevent it (Iran) from accelerating its nuclear program before the IAEA can detect the accelerated progress.” Can you even believe this ridiculous nonsense?
What was the Iranian reaction? After they undoubtedly finished laughing their heads off at the complete cowardice of the P5 + 1, the Iranians said that the Western proposals were “positive”.
Your humble servant just doesn’t have the words.
The P5 +1 has finally revealed itself to be a motley collection of craven fools who have not only succeeded in giving Iran time to accelerate and develop its nuclear arsenal, but now have completely signed off on the Iranian nuclear weapons program they were supposedly trying to stop from being created.
In return for nothing from the Iranians, the P5 + 1 will now begin to ease sanctions against trading in gold and petrochemicals with Iran as well as sanctions against Iranian banks.
Where does this leave Israel? Up the proverbial creek without a paddle. There is no way for Israel to carry out a strike against Iranian nuclear facilities without international support, and that support has just evaporated.
As your humble servant blogged long ago, we all had better start getting used to a nuclear Iran that has vowed the destruction of Israel. Thank you world.
