UPDATES 5 pm Israel time, Friday, March 14:
**122 Palestinian terrorist missiles fired from Gaza have now struck southern Israel in the last three days–the most recent one coming just over 6 hours ago at Sha’ar Hanagev. Two of the five incoming rockets last night were intercepted by the Iron Dome system.
Amazingly, no Israelis have been physically wounded though a number have been injured while running to their bomb shelters or fortified places. However, there have been extensive reports of trauma in the areas around Sderot–a city in which more than 50% of all the children already suffer from post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD). By the way, 17 of the above 122 missiles that have been fired, were launched after the latest “truce” was reached with the Al-Quds Brigades–the military wing of Islamic Jihad.
**While Palestinian rockets have been exploding all around citizens of the south, Israelis in Judea and Samaria have been assaulted by Palestinian “rock” and Molotov cocktail throwing terrorists. At Nabi Saleh alone, more than 80 attackers rained terror down on Israeli motorists this afternoon.
Again, miraculously, no Israelis have been wounded but numerous children, women, and men have been traumatized. The following picture is one that was taken of an Israeli car that passed near the Palestinian settlement of Deir this afternoon:
Here’s another picture of the same “rock”:

What can your humble servant say about what American Secretary of State John Kerry said while testifying before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs yesterday?
Pathetic. Nauseating. Disgusting . . . And totally predictable.
When asked to clarify the American position about whether the Palestinians must recognize Israel as a Jewish state, here is what Kerry dissembled:
“I think it’s a mistake for some people to be, you know, raising it again and again as the critical decider of their attitude towards the possibility of a state and peace, and we’ve obviously made that clear . . . ‘Jewish state’ was resolved in 1947 in Resolution 181, where there are more than 40-30 mentions of ‘Jewish state’ . . . In addition, Chairman Arafat in 1988, and again in 2004, confirmed that he agreed it would be a Jewish state.”
—It’s a mistake to raise the issue again and again? Here’s what Mahmoud Abbas said in Arabic in a speech in Ramallah last Thursday (March 6): “
We shall never agree to recognize the Jewish state . . . “Five million Palestinian refugees and their offspring will be able to return to Israel and hold Israeli citizenship.”
–We’ve made that clear? So this has been the American position all along? This entire “peace negotiations” saga has been nothing but a sham.
—Jewish state was resolved in 1947? So is that why Israel has had to fight war after war in order to survive?
—Chairman Arafat confirmed that he agreed it would be a Jewish state. Now Yasser Arafat is being held up as a recognizer of Jewish state of Israel? Unbelievable.
To anyone who has listened closely to Barack Obama over the last six years, or John Kerry over the last year, or to the State Department spokeswoman several days ago, Kerry’s comments come as no surprise.
Nevertheless, this is one of those days on which your humble servant doesn’t know whether to laugh, cry, or explode in anger.
