Two updates . . .
*As the demonstrations in Iran spread, security forces have begun a crackdown with at least 10 protesters reported killed. All forms of communication have been blocked, and a scheduled nationwide address by President Rouhani did not take place.
*Nur Tamimi, mother of Ahed Tamimi of the infamous Palliwood family has been indicted on charges of assaulting a soldier in aggravated circumstances. Meanwhile Ahed remains in detention for her role in the incident. They both should be planted under a prison somewhere.
The population numbers at years’ end . . .

No Happy New Year
For Judea, Samaria, Eastern Jerusalem Or The Golan:
Israel Kowtows to the European Union Again
In a startling display of submission, Israel signed onto the ENI EBCMED agreement yesterday.
ENI EBCMED is a funding arrangement of the European Union that provides “economic cooperation” to 14 Mediterranean countries that are not EU members such as Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, and . . . “Palestine”.
Ostensibly, the money provided is supposed to further socio-economic development. In reality, the money is used to foist EU “values” on non-EU countries. It is one of the worst forms of patronizing, economic colonialism.
So how did Israel kowtow?
By agreeing to a clause in ENI EBCMED that says that no EU money can be used for Israeli communities and neighborhoods in the Golan Heights, Judea, Samaria, or eastern Jerusalem. It is a tacit acknowledgement on the part of the Netanyahu government that these areas are not part of Israel.
Amazingly, only 1 minister in the government opposed this appalling Israeli submission: Sports and Culture Minister Miri Regev.
Regev angrily declared:
“I do not see the justification to compromise and to sign with one hand this agreement, while in our other hand we demand that the world recognize de facto our right to united Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
The absurd result of the agreement will be that if the PLO submits a project in Hevron or eastern Jerusalem, it will be accepted and supported, while Israel can not submit a similar project. I also do not accept that this agreement refers to the PLO as if it were a neighboring state.
My position is that the Israeli government must reject out of hand, agreements that demand that we de facto boycott parts of our homeland or populations living on the Golan Heights in Jerusalem or Judea and Samaria.”
Bravo to Miri Regev for stating the obvious!
But where were Netanyahu, Bennett, Shaked, Lieberman, and all the other members of our government who always declare their support for the Golan, Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem?
Nowhere to be seen.
