Important Quote of the Day:
“The time has come to think about the day after, and it is time for us all to turn to the end of the Palestinian state and toward the beginning of the era of sovereignty. A national and political consensus has been created around the matter, and the time has come to transform the idea into reality.”
Naftali Bennett, Head of the Beit Yehudi Party, and Israel Education Minister referring to Mahmoud Abbas’ speech in Ramallah yesterday (see below).

The News on the Israel Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Multiple (40+) attacks have been carried out by Palestinian terrorists in such locations as Hizma, Abu Shehidam, Hawara, Qalqilya, Tekoa, Hevron, Bil’in, Nebi Saleh, Binyamin, at various locations in Gush Etzion, along Road 443, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road, Al Aruv, Ofra, Al-Fawwar, Urif, Yitzhar, El Khader, Nahal Oz, Luban a-Sharqiya, Beit Ummar, Har Homa, Issawiya, and Beit El.
One location missing from the above list . . .
. . . is Nebi Elias–a continuing flashpoint of Palestinian terrorism. Fortunately, Nebi Elias “mentions” will be forever diminished because the Nebi Elias bypass road was finally completed and put into use yesterday.
Costing 55 million shekels, the road gives residents of residents of Tzofim, Alfei Menashe, Karnei Shomron, Yakir, Ma’ale Shomron, Nofim, and Immanuel a new way to connect to Kfar Saba and Herzliya. No longer will they be exposed to the “rocks” and Molotovs they had become accustomed to in the vicinity of Nebi Elias.
Why has it taken so long? . . .
Three and a half years after the end of the 2014 war with Palestinian Gaza, the government finally decided today to stop “the humanitarian entrances of Hamas members and their families from Gaza to Israel.”
That these so-called “humanitarian entrances” had been allowed to take place at all was just another example of how Israel always tries to be politically correct and absurdly kowtows to the “humanitarian” community at every turn.
So what has changed?
The Goldin family, whose son’s body parts are still being held by Hamas, petitioned the government to immediately halt the nonsense.
TODAY’S BLOG:
“MAY YOUR HOUSE BE DESTROYED!”
Mahmoud Abbas’s speech yesterday at the PLO Central Council continues to reverberate across Israel today. Even Abbas’ leftist lovers in Israeli politics and the media have condemned it as dangerously extreme.
The full text of Abbas’ speech has yet to be revealed (the official version has been heavily edited) but here were some of the main points which have been published:
*“Israel is a colonial project that has nothing to do with the Jews . . . Europeans wanted to bring the Jews here to preserve their interests in the region.”
*“Today is the day that the Oslo Accords end. Israel killed them.”
*“[Trump’s] deal of the century is the slap of the century and we will not accept it . . . We said ‘no’ to Trump, ‘we we will not accept your project.’”
*“The American ambassador to Israel [David Friedman] and [the US Ambassador to the UN] Nikki Haley bring shame on the administration, if it has any self-respect. . . [Friedman] “is a settler [and an] offensive human being . . . [Haley] threatens to hit people who hurt Israel with the heel of her shoe.”
*“Any future negotiations will take place only within the context of the international community, by an international committee created in the framework of an international conference. Allow me to be clear: We will not accept American leadership of a political process involving negotiations.”
How do we know that there is more to come?

Here’s what Israel President Reuven Rivlin, who speaks Arabic and has heard the entire unedited speech, said this morning:
“What we heard yesterday from Mahmoud Abbas, was terrible. He returned back to the ideas he expressed decades ago, when they were no less terrible . . . [he] said exactly the things that led him to be accused years ago of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.”
Of course we all know how Abbas revealed his anti-Semitic self when he wrote his so-called “dissertation” back in Moscow in the 1950s at Patrice Lumumba University. On israelstreet, your humble servant has always argued that Abbas has never changed his beliefs one iota.
Abbas’ speech yesterday apparently proves the point.
One last thing: Abbas concluded his rant against the United States and President Trump with this Arabic curse: “May your house be destroyed!”
