The Hilariously Delusional Quote of the Day
“These masses flowing on the borders have made me happy and made me feel the extra nostalgia of the ancient olive trees, the orange blossoms and the waves on the shores of Haifa, Jaffa and Akko. All the observers can feel that the Palestinian people will not forget their homeland, and the day of return is coming even though the international community has not been able to facilitate that return.”
Musa Abu Marzuq, Senior Hamas leader in Gaza
Actually Marzuq was not on the front lines at all yesterday to see those “masses flowing on the borders”–nor were any other Hamas leaders who were safely tucked away in their underground bunkers, on vacation trips abroad, or just swimming in the pools of their villas in Gaza.
Marzuq was waxing metaphorical from Moscow where he was meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov. According to Marzuq’s office, the two were discussing “recent developments in the Palestinian area.”
The Delusional Photo of the Day
These idiots would be perfectly happy to see Israel disappear in an invasion of Palestinian terrorists from Gaza, Judea, and Samaria. To them, the idea of a Jewish state is an anathema. “Free Gaza”? Israelis left every millimeter of Gaza 13 years ago. Gaza has been a Palestinian state since then–and a Hamas state since 2007.
The News on the Israel Street
Passover is celebrated . . .
Despite the Palestinian terrorism swirling around us, 6.2 million Israelis sat down to their Passover seder last night. They retold the story of the exodus amidst food and song.
As we all know by now, a favorite expression of Jews the world over on Passover is “They tried to kill us; they failed; let’s eat.” Nowhere is that more true in Israel where the attempt to kill us is a daily event.
The attempted celebration of Passover on the Temple Mount . . .
Two members of the “Return to the Mount” movement were arrested yesterday near the Mughrabi Ramp that leads up to the Mount.
What was their crime?
They were trying to smuggle a goat onto the Mount where they planned to make a Passover sacrifice.
Palestinian terrorism in Judea and Samaria in the last 24 hours . . .
While the violence has been happening on the Gaza border, Palestinian terrorists have been busy elsewhere.
Palestinian terrorists targeted Israelis with “rocks” and Molotovs in more than 30 attacks at such places as Migdalim, El Bireh, Hevron (multiple locations), Beit El, Shilo, Nabi Saleh, Tekoa, Hizma, Qalqilya, Karnei Shomron, Karmei Tzur, and all along the Gush Etzion road to Hevron.
News from the neighborhood . . .
*An Israeli drone crashed in southern Lebanon today. It was destroyed remotely by the IAF.
*The Syrian situation is set to become more chaotic. President Trump let it be known that he wants American soldiers out of the country as soon as possible. Saudi Arabia has urged Trump to reconsider saying that if the Americans leave, Iran will move quickly to fill the vacuum.
*Meanwhile in Saudi Arabia, another missile was shot down after being fired from Yemen at Riyadh. Saudi Arabia issued a statement that the missile was, in reality, fired from Beirut by Hezbollah.
TODAY’S BLOG:
Those “Peaceful, Unarmed Palestinians”
Being “Gunned Down” on the Gaza Border
The Palestinians have their propaganda machine running full throttle, and we have calls from all over the world this morning condemning Israel for violating international law by shooting down “peaceful, unarmed Palestinian demonstrators.”
The UN Secretary General is calling for an emergency meeting of the Security Council; the European Union is decrying Israeli violence against Palestinians; Turkey is threatening retaliation against Israel, and . . . and . . . and. In short, the usual cast of slimy characters is busy at work attacking Israel . . .
. . . for protecting ourselves.
Against whom you ask? Well, Hamas made that clear yesterday.
While Mahmoud Abbas was ranting about Palestinian civilians being “slaughtered”, Hamas in Gaza was posting pictures of their fighters who were killed while trying to breach the fence and infiltrate Israel.
Here are a few of the “poor Palestinians” who were killed yesterday:
Let’s repeat that:
Members of Hamas’ military wing that Hamas says were killed yesterday.
Sometimes pictures speak more loudly than words.
