June 5, 1967-June 10, 1967: Six days that changed history

June 7, 1967 was a momentous day in Israeli history. It was the day on which the Temple Mount and the Western Wall were liberated.

For the text of the live Hebrew broadcast (translated into English) on that momentous day, click here. A very short audio/video clip of the liberation provided by the IDF can be seen/heard here.

Not the Angel of “Mercy” . . . the Angel of “Hamas”

By now, all readers of israelstreet know that supposed Palestinian volunteer medic Razan Ashraf Najjar was allegedly killed by an Israeli sniper last Friday.

Following her death, she immediately became a cause celebre with the Palestinian propaganda machine terming her an “Angel of Mercy.”

This picture/graphic has gone viral in the Palestinian media.

In last Saturday’s blog, your humble servant wrote these words:

“The circumstances of her death remain unknown: was she affiliated with Hamas? was she carrying weapons to the border (as so many other faux medics have)?”

Here we are five days later. The IDF has finished an investigation that shows definitively that she was not shot by Israeli sniper. And today we have two more pieces of information.

First, an interview with Najjar has surfaced in the Palestinian social media in which she discusses how she is affiliated with Hamas and serves as a human shield on the front line.

Second, a video has also appeared in Palestinian social media which shows Najjar throwing an incendiary gas bomb on the front lines. Below are three screen shots from that video:

In this screen shot, you can see Najjaf holding the smoking gas bomb in her right hand. Note Red Crescent "ambulance" in the background. Vehicles like this one marked "ambulance" regularly ferry terrorists back and forth from the front.

In the last screen shot, she turns, gives a thumbs up, and happily walks away–leaving a burning field in her wake:

Enough said. Najjar was no angel of mercy; she was an Angel of Hamas.
