How The IDF General Command Idiotically Undermines Israel
The above picture, posted on yesterday’s Israel Defense Forces Blog was nauseating on so many levels that your humble servant hardly knows where to start, but let’s list six ways:
1. It is nauseating that the IDF General Command felt compelled to wish Happy Eid Al-Fitr! to Muslims around the world.
2. It is nauseating that the IDF General Command superimposed the wish right over the holiest place in Judaism.
3. It is nauseating that the IDF General Command removed all Jewish references from its picture and caption: there is no mention of the Temple Mount, no mention of the Kipat HaSela, no mention of the First and Second Jewish Temples–no mention of Jewish anything—it is a blatant statement that the Temple Mount belongs to the Muslims.
4. It is nauseating that the IDF General Command applauded the fact that “thousands” of Muslims (actually more than a million) came to pray on our Temple Mount during Ramadan–and the IDF and Israel police will not allow hardly any Jews on our the Mount.
5. It is nauseating that the IDF General Command–obsessed with political correctness as always–directed this message the world–note that it is written in English, not Arabic.
6. It is nauseatingly pathetic that the IDF General Command showed a picture of the Kipat HaSela (Dome of the Rock) as if it were the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
What the IDF General Command has idiotically never been able to understand is that when it puts up blogs and issues statements like the above, it does not make Israel “look good.”
Instead such blogs and statements undermine Israel and give ammunition to our enemies.
