Photo of the Day:

This photo comes from the Gaza border yesterday. If you look carefully, you can see that a makeshift gallows was erected, an effigy was hung, and then it was burned. The question is whose effigy was it?

This photo comes from the Gaza border yesterday. If you look carefully, you can see that a makeshift gallows was erected, an effigy was hung, and then it was burned. The question is whose effigy was it?

The answer: U.S. President Trump’s.

Notice the sole of the shoe being held as a further insult to Trump.

The News on the Israeli Street!

Palestinian violence in the last 24 hours . . .

Hamas followed through on its threats yesterday, directing the launching of dozens of incendiary balloons and kites into southern Israel and sending busload after busload of terrorists to the border.

At least 4 major fires erupted when incendiary balloons crashed into southern Israel: at Be’eri, near Sderot, in the Shukda Forest, and at Kerem Shalom.

At the same time, dozens of Hamas terrorists managed to infiltrate Israel at Al-Burij where they:

set a major communications tower on fire

incinerated an army jeep

destroyed part of the Gaza border fence

took the equipment inside a sniper position, and then burned the post

threw Molotovs and IEDs at our soldiers

And more.

The IDF response was threefold. First, there was the usual artillery and tank fire at empty Hamas observation posts, followed by an unsuccessful IAF attempt to eliminate a group of balloon launchers, followed by a more successful attempt by snipers to target the infiltrators themselves (several were killed and around 50 were wounded).

The outrageous demands of Eurovision . . .

In case you missed it several days ago, the Director of the European Broadcasting Union has sent a “demand” letter to PM Netanyahu.

Among other things, he has demanded that Netanyahu sign a document that:

TODAY’S BLOG:

A Rogues’ Gallery Of Raging Anti-Semites

What do all of these people have in common?

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) regional representative Sonia Azzam, the South African ambassador to the PA, a representative from the German Agency for International Cooperation, Kristil Heraldstad of the Norwegian Aid Committee, and assorted other envoys from institutions in the UK, the Netherlands, and Germany.

With all of these people?

Actress Julie Christie, composer Brian Eno, playwrights Eve Ensler and Caryl Churchill, film directors Mike Leigh and Ken Loach, Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters, Portuguese national theater artistic director Tiago Rodrigues, Italian actor Moni Ovadia and French comics artist Tardi.

They are all raging anti-Semites.

“Anti-Semite” is not a phrase that your humble servant uses frequently, but when the shoe fits, people should wear it. Using Natan Sharansky’s famous 3D test of anti-Semitism, each of the above go out of their way to demonize, delegitimize, and apply double standards to Israel whenever possible.

The first group of people showed up at the illegal Palestinian settlement of Khan Al-Ahmar the other day for a viciously anti-Semitic exhibition by the PLO. That exhibition featured pictures allegedly showing Israeli soldiers preparing to shoot small children and “cartoons” depicting such things as Palestinian children being strangled by an Israeli “octopus” which was also destroying churches with one tentacle and the Al-Aksa Mosque with another.

They showed up, attended the exhibition, and did not say one word in protest during their time at Khan Al-Ahmar or afterward.

The second group of people were among 140 people who signed an open letter denouncing the fact that Eurovision is taking place in Israel next year–and calling on everyone to boycott it. These people are always on the “artists’ list” of people condemning the Jewish state of Israel.

Of course anti-Semitism has never left us over the millenia–but the way it is now rearing its ugly head is reminiscent of some of the worst moments in Jewish history.
