Near panic ensued yesterday when a snake was spotted high up on the Kotel (Western Wall).
What was it? A sign from above? A sign from below? In any case, after considerable yelling and gesticulating, a professional snake catcher was called in to remove it:
The snake turned out to be non-poisonous, and was taken to a nearby forest and released.

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
In Judea and Samaria:
Palestinian terrorists used “rocks” and Molotovs to attack Israeli men, women, and children who were riding in cars and buses near Luban a-Sharqiya, on the Gush Etzion Road near Hevron, south of Karmei Tzur, close to Adam Square, near Beit Ummar, at Hizma, El Aruv, on Road 79 between Bir Al-Maksur and Shfaram, on Route 65 near Umm Safa–and at a myriad of other locations.
Israelis were treated for trauma, cars were badly damaged, bus windows and windshields were shattered. It was a typical day on the roads of Judea and Samaria.
On the Gaza border . . .
Despite claims to the otherwise by the government, Hamas terrorists attacked our soldiers along the border fence all day and night, and terrorists launched dozens of incendiary devices, some of which blew up near Kerem Shalom and Kissufim.
Remember the Hamas ultimatum four days ago? . . .
After the mini-war last week, Hamas demanded that Israel funnel $15 million dollars of Qatari money to Gaza each week or it would increase the attacks on Israel.
At the time, a wide range of Israeli leaders led by PM Netanyahu proclaimed that Israel would never give in to Hamas ultimatums.
Three days ago on October 29th, your humble servant wrote here on israelstreet:

So what happened last night?
Israel caved into the Hamas demand.

Post election scuttlebutt . . .
Before the municipal elections on Tuesday, it was widely rumored that PM Netanyahu would call for an early national election in January or February of next year after the candidates he was supporting swept to victory.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the victory party.
A surprisingly large number of candidates supported by Netanyahu went down to defeat. Whether early elections will now be called is anyone’s guess.

It’s Time To Resist Eating Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream!
The newest “flavor” added to the Ben & Jerry’s line.
Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream announced two days ago that it has created a new ice cream to support the “progressive” campaign against President Trump.
That new ice cream is named “Resist.” In creating the ice cream, the company noted that it is supporting groups “struggling against the regressive agenda of U.S. President Donald Trump” and encouraging those “that create a more just nation for all of us.”
Your humble servant respects the right of individuals and companies to support their ideological beliefs–as long as those ideological beliefs are not abhorrent.
In making its announcement about the launch of its new ice cream, Ben & Jerry’s declared that as part of the campaign, Ben & Jerry’s is “collaborating with four progressive American organizations” and will donate profits from the ice cream sales to these organizations.
One of those “progressive organizations” is “Women’s March“–an organization founded by Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory, two of the most raging anti-Semitic anti-Israel bashers on the planet.
Back in June, Mallory declared that the establishment of Israel in 1948 was “a human rights crime.” Two months before that in April, she accused Jews of “constantly attacking black and brown people.” Two months before that in February she posted a picture of herself with Louis Farrakhan after Farrakhan’s speech in which he declared “Jews are my enemy” and that he “had pulled the cover off the eyes of the satanic Jew.”
As for Sarsour, she has made too many anti-Semitic, anti-Israel comments to mention. Suffice it to give a tweet from singer Courtney Love (of all people) which elegantly sums up Sarsour: “I won’t follow anything that’s being led by an anti-Semitic terrorist that’s using feminism as a tool to promote her radicalism.”
When asked about the statements of Sarsour and Mallory, a Ben & Jerry’s spokesman blathered this nonsense: “We do not necessarily agree with all the groups we cooperate with on any subject, but we are very comfortable with the existence of views.”
Did you get that?
