Thank you Hamas for your “quiet restraint.”
The scene on the Gaza border yesterday afternoon as heavy smoke from burning tires drifts toward our soldiers positioned on the border and on into southern Israel.
Despite what you will read in the mainstream media and what you will hear from the IDF, the Netanyahu government, and the Egyptians–all of whom are desperate to rehabilitate Hamas, violence on the Gaza border continued unabated yesterday.
On a day in which our so-called “security” establishment issued an “expectation of quiet demonstrations” and the Egyptians praised Hamas for its “restraint”, here is what happened:
*More than 10,000 answered Hamas calls and surged to the border.
*Immediately, the terrorists began burning tires to obscure the line of vision of our soldiers.

*Palestinian terrorists attacked with IEDs, grenades, Molotovs, and “rocks”. At one point, they succeeded in cutting a large hole in the border fence. Their subsequent attempts to infiltrate Israel were repulsed.
If all of the above shows “quiet restraint”, then we must be looking in a dictionary authored by George Orwell.
Meanwhile, Israel’s attempt to pay Hamas terrorists the $15 million in blackmail money they demand for continuing yesterday’s “lull” accelerated. Of course, this is merely the first of 52 $15 million dollar payments: a total of $780 million dollars annually for a lull that doesn’t exist.
