Rashida Tlaib: The New Face of the U.S. Democrat Party
British reporter: “Will you vote against military aid to Israel when you get to Congress?”
Tlaib: “Absolutely.”
Rashida Tlaib, a newly elected U.S. Representative of the Democrat Party from Michigan speaking during her post-election victory party.
A victory celebration at which she wore her true colors (pardon the blurry screen shot):
A Muslim woman, Tlaib is being hailed by the “progressive” Democrats as one of the new faces of the Party and an important symbol of “inclusion.” After Tlaib won election in the Michigan primary in August, she tweeted: “My first fight is for Palestine, always Palestine.”
Apparently this was a message that resonated in her Congressional District. She won on Tuesday night with 84.6% of the vote.

Speaking yesterday at a ceremony to honor the mujahideen, Iranian General Hossein Salami–the second in command of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards–declared that “Jihadism is spreading through Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine.”
He went on to say: “The Zionists are afraid because Hezbollah and the Palestinians have armed themselves with our missiles which have grown in dimension and are very accurate. The Zionists now know that any war will lead to their removal and elimination. The Islamic revolution now has bases from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea.”
Notwithstanding our ability to obliterate our enemies should we choose, much of what Salami said is true. Iran does have bases from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea and has armed Hezbollah and Hamas to the teeth with accurate and powerful missiles.
And Israel is afraid of Hezbollah and Hamas (see Today’s Blog).
TODAY’S BLOG:
Do You Want To Know What Cowardice Looks Like?
This may be one of the shortest blogs that has ever appeared on israelstreet. Sometimes, a picture really is worth a thousand words.
What do you think this is a picture of?
This is a picture of three suitcases containing $15 million dollars in Qatari money in the back seat of a car that sailed through the Erez Crossing yesterday afternoon.
Remember how PM Netanyahu said a few weeks ago that Israel would never pay the $15 million in blackmail money that Hamas now weekly demands for the non-existent “lull”?
Remember how Israel then let it be known that the money would be routed from Qatar to the U.N. to Israel to Gaza?
Not only did Israel pay–it paid directly with no intermediaries. We simply allowed the Qataris to load the money in suitcases and drive willy nilly into Gaza to disperse the money to the terrorists. Even the United Nations refused to have anything to do with it.
The bottom line is that Israel is terrified of a confrontation with Hamas and Islamic Jihad and will even pay blackmail to avoid one.
Utter cowardice in the face of terrorism on the Gaza border–that is what we now have in Israel.
