Another Day Of Wild Violence On The Gaza Border

So much for caving in to blackmail.

A day which began with “some” Qatari money being dispersed to “some” residents of Gaza and then devolved into numerous attacks on our soldiers, ended at night with greenhouses at Netiv HaAsara being burned down by a Palestinian infiltrator.

Let’s begin with the money.

There were long lines in Gaza as infantile Palestinians lined up to get their share of the loot:

However, a funny thing happened on the way to the money celebration. The Qatari Ambassador to Gaza decided to take a drive around to receive the plaudits of the grateful Gazans:

Along about this time, after receiving the money, Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar announced that despite the blackmail money received “there is no truce arrangement with Israel.” Nada, nil, zilch. No truce. No lull. No cessation of fighting.

One resident of Netiv HaAsara, Revital Fuld, had this to say: “We were very afraid. When the terrorist entered our greenhouses, I imagined that he entered one of the houses and killed an entire family. It’s very hard to live like this. We are abandoned, we are in this campaign alone, no one feels sorry for our children. I remain without words, our four children experience difficult things.”

The problem is that when you have a cowardly government that would rather give in to blackmail than fight to defend its own citizens, terror attacks like the one at Netiv HaAsara and wild violence along the Gaza border will never stop.
