The News On The Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

In Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem:

While Palestinian terrorists in Gaza have been launching missiles and mortars trying to kill Israeli men, women, and children, Palestinian terrorists in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem have stepped up their attacks on Israelis.

*As noted on the breaking news ticker above, a Palestinian terrorist jumped over the security fence at the Armon Hanatziv Border Police station in Jerusalem last night and stabbed two policemen (one in the head) before being shot by other police. Both policemen are listed in “fair” condition this morning; the terrorist unfortunately survived and is listed in “critical” condition.

*Palestinian terrorists hit an Israeli car with Molotovs at the Jit Junction near Kedumim. The family inside barely made it out alive before the car exploded and burned.

*Palestinian terrorists struck Israeli motorists with “rocks” and Molotovs at Bruchin, Halhul, Azzun, Eli Zahav, the Perissa Junction, Deir Nizam,  the Postal Junction, between Tapuach and Ariel, al-Mu’ayyir, El Aruv, on the Gush Etzion road near Hevron, Beit Ummar, Nahliel, between El Khader and Efrat, Karmei Tzur, the Migdalim Junction, the northern entrance to Efrat, the Beitilu Junction, Turmus’aya, Peduel, Hirbat al-Miztab, Karnei Shomron, Bethany, and Tekoa.

On the Gaza border:

We have now had almost 24 hours without a missile or mortar attack, but Hamas let it be known yesterday that attacks on Israeli soldiers on the border will continue as before regardless of a “ceasefire.”

A Palestinian terrorist was killed at Zikim yesterday when he threw grenades at our soldiers as he rushed the fence. Hundreds more threw more grenades and Molotovs.

Speaking of missile and mortar attacks . . .

How many missiles and mortars do Hamas and Islamic Jihad have? The IDF estimated yesterday that the 500+ fired into southern Israel over the last few days hardly made a dent in their supply of some 25,000.

Speaking of those 500+ missiles and mortars . . .

Click here to see a scrolling of all the incoming missile alarms (red sirens=tsava adoms) that residents of the south experienced during the mini-war: tsava adom.

Demonstrations against the government accelerate . . .

Citizens of the border communities are continuing their demonstrations against PM Netanyahu and the cowards in his government who favored a ceasefire. Your humble servant is looking forward to going to Tel Aviv tonight to take part in the pro-South rally taking place there.

Social media in Israel has been flooded with videos mocking Netanyahu. The following one is in Hebrew, but you don’t have to understand the language to understand that no one can believe anything that Netanyahu says about defending the south. Click here: Netanyahu.

The meaningless bluster of Israeli politicians resumes . . .

Yesterday, we had this absurd statement from Avi Dichter, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee:

“Further escalation will lead to an unequivocal result – thousands of terrorists in the grave and thousands more in prison.”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Good joke Avi!

Someone who is not joking . . .

An interesting story out of Europe today concerning the EU initiative to support Iran in the face of American sanctions. Apparently, the initiative is going nowhere because no country wants to host the organization that would monitor the situation and dispense money.

Germany, France, and Austria have all declined to do so out of fear that hosting such an organization will bring down the wrath of President Trump–whom as we all know by this point, rarely jokes about anything.

The slimy Europeans are now trying to pressure Luxembourg into taking on the responsibility.

Speaking of slimy . . .

Could anything have been slimier yesterday than the farce in the Knesset in which Tamar Zandberg of Meretz had Adva Biton (mother of 3 year old Adele who was murdered by Palestinians) thrown out of the debate because she was representing the Bereaved Families in a discussion about death sentences for terrorist murderers.

Zandberg had the gall to refer to the Bereaved Families as a “straw organization”; when Biton objected she was removed.

This is the same Zandberg who has lived her life honoring Palestinian terrorists:

But before we proceed to that discussion, let me explain what a vacuum constriction device is and how it works? tadalafil professional cheap is a popular drug most commonly consumed for erectile dysfunction (impotency) cure in men.It relaxes the muscles of the blood vessels and increases the possibility. TODAY’S BLOG:

A Self-Aggrandizing Netanyahu Piles The Horse Manure Ever Deeper

With Defense Minister Lieberman’s resignation yesterday and his pulling his Yisrael Beiteinu Party out of the coalition, PM Netanyahu has been left with only 61 members of that Coalition.

On top of that, Naftali Bennett, Beit Yehudi Party chairman, has let it be known that if he is not named Defense Minister, he will take Beit Yehudi out and collapse the government.

Well, maybe.

In the first place, Netanyahu is not likely to submit to Bennett’s threat (like Netanyahu did to Hamas’ threat to strike Tel Aviv), and will more than likely name former IDF Chief Benny Gantz or Yoav Galant as Defense Minister. Both Gantz and Galant are both on record talking about how what happens along the Gaza border is “not that important.”

In the second place, your humble servant would not be surprised if Netanyahu tried to get the Labor Party to join the Coalition by offering a plum such as the Foreign Ministry to Tzipi Livni.

In the third place, one cannot always take Bennett’s threats seriously.

In any case, it appears that we may be headed for elections in March (though Netanyahu will not surpass Ben Gurion’s record for Prime Ministership until June).

It was darkly amusing yesterday listening to Netanyahu trying to weasel his way out of his pusillanimity.

In a speech at a ceremony honoring Ben Gurion, Netanyahu went on and on about how Hamas leaders “begged for a ceasefire.”

Begged for a ceasefire? Really? 500+ missiles and mortars in less than 24 hours–right up until the moment of the ceasefire . . . continuation of attacks at the fence and incendiary balloonsthis is only “begging” in the George Orwell Dictionary of the Surreal.

Netanyahu continued his dissembling by praising himself:  “Ben-Gurion was a great leader of the Jewish people. In moments of trial he made fateful decisions. Sometimes he did so contrary to popular opinion . . . True leadership is not doing the easy thing; it is doing the right thing, even if it is difficult. Sometimes true leaders face criticism when they know secret and sensitive information that they cannot share with public, in this case, the residents of the south.”

What a pile of horse manure. Translated: “I am a great leader because I know secret and sensitive information that you do not know, and I acted upon it.”

Really?

Then came the coup de grace: “We will set the conditions and the right time for Israel to act in Gaza and for the security of our residents.”

What in the world does this mean? It means that the residents of the border communities will just have to continue to suffer attack from terrorists in Gaza until PM Netanyahu and his minions decide to act.

And we all know after nearly 10 years of major wars, minor wars, and mini-wars, Israel under Netanyahu will never proactively take action to stop the terror.

But wait . . . there was one last shot to the head. Netanyahu tweeted this:

“I hear the voice of the southern inhabitants. Believe me, they are dear to me, their words penetrate my heart. But together with the heads of the security forces, I see the overall picture of the security of Israel which I cannot share with the public.”

The manure is so deep that your humble servant needs a shovel to extricate himself. As the old saying goes: “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.”

Netanyahu has fooled us all once too often; no one in the South believes a word he says anymore.
