Inspiring Quote of the Day
“I am a walking miracle. I got to the hospital lying down and have just walked out of it. We won.”
Shira Ish-Ran, upon leaving Sha’are Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem this morning.
Your humble servant cannot help but admire the mindset of all the Jewish community members out in Judea and Samaria who are on the front lines of the fight against Palestinian terror everyday.
Despite the despair Shira must feel over losing her 7 month old fetus Amiad, the fact that she survived to have more children is a victory for the Jewish people.
“We won.”
The Sad Number of the Day:
43.
This is the number of IDF soldiers (active and reserve) who died during 2018. It is 20% lower than the number who died in 2017, but still, it is 43 too many.
How did they die?
8 were killed in combat.
6 died in military accidents.
9 committed suicide.
10 died of health-related problems.
10 died in civilian accidents (such as car accidents).

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
In Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem:
As noted on the breaking news ticker above, a 14-year-old girl was stabbed at a bus stop in the Armon Hanatziv area of Jerusalem. MADA responders reported that she was stabbed multiple times in the neck and hand, but she is expected to survive. The terrorist or terrorists escaped.
Elsewhere, Palestinian terrorists attacked with “rocks” and Molotovs at Tekoa, on the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion road, at the Tunnels checkpoint, and at a myriad of other locations.
At Ma’ale Levona, a terrorist attacked a motorist in a car that was stopped at an intersection. Using a hammer, the terrorist smashed out the driver’s window, but the female driver managed to escape and make it to the community of Eli. Again, the terrorist escaped.
In Gaza:
Hamas did not receive its $15 million dollars of blackmail money on time yesterday, so today has seen a fresh barrage of incendiary balloons launched at southern Israel.
One fire was started at Nahal Oz; other balloons exploded in such places as Sa’ad and on the Sderot railroad track east of Beit Hanoun.
TODAY’S BLOG:
The Bizarre Lawless Attack Against The Jewish Minors Continues
Yesterday was supposed to have been the first appearance in court of the 5 apparent defendants who are being held by the Shin Bet for their supposed role in the throwing of 1 rock that hit and killed Aisha al-Rawbi who was struck while in her car back in October of last year.
As I have written in previous blogs, the story told by the al-Rawbi’s husband about what happened that night has changed numerous times.
In any case, the court appearance turned into a no appearance as the judge acceded to a bizarre Shin Bet demand that the “defendants” not be allowed into the courtroom. When the lawyers for the young men discovered that their clients would not be allowed into the courtroom, they walked out.
Apparently, the 5 will remain in custody until at least tomorrow.
Meanwhile yesterday, Israel Police raided the Pri Ha’aretz Yeshiva in Rehelim where the boys study and issued summons for another 30 students to be interrogated.
The Honenu organization involved the defense of the minors subsequently issued this statement: “The police entered the yeshiva illegally, without a warrant permitting them to enter private property, and were later warned by the yeshiva staff that their entrance was illegal and harmful to the students’ learning. The police should make a decision; at the moment there are five youths in interrogation rooms—are they are no longer suspects? Is it possible that 80 children threw one stone? The police are operating illegally.”
When it comes to Jewish minors in Judea and Samaria, the Israel police operate with no attention to the law whatsoever. Get a warrant? Why do they need a warrant? Just the Shin Bet which can hold and brutally interrogate minors for weeks without charges, the Police can do whatever they want whenever they want.
The bizarre lawless attack against the Jewish minors continues.
