Happy Tu B’Shvat!!
Why don’t you celebrate the holiday today by doing what Israelis do? Go out to a park; plant a tree; and eat lots of fruits and nuts!
Or do what the great kabbalist Rabbi Yitzchak Luria did in the 16th century: have a Tu B’Shvat meal in which you eat ten specific fruits and drink four cups of wine while reciting blessings to bring you closer to spiritual perfection.
Whatever you do, have a great day!
The Wonderful Picture of the Day
The Anti-Israel Quote of the Day:
“The young people in our Air Force are fully ready and impatient to confront the Zionist regime and eliminate it from the Earth.”
Head of the Iranian Air Force Brig. Gen. Aziz Nasirzadeh speaking in Tehran yesterday.
The News On The Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours in Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley:
Two IDF soldiers were wounded at the entrance to Joseph’s Tomb in Shechem; a rabbi was wounded by “rocks” at Beit Ummar; a man was wounded in the head by “rocks” on the Gush Etzion Road south of Karmei Tzur; a woman was wounded when hit by “rocks” near Adora.
There were more than 25 other “rock” and Molotov attacks carried out by Palestinian terrorists at such places as the Horseshoe Junction in Gush Talmonim, Karnei Shomron, Gitit, Ali, Luban a-Sharqiya, the south Hevron Hills, Al-Khader, the Gush Etzion Junction, Kedumim, Givat Assaf, the Yatir Katina Junction, and Deir Nizam.
More evidence of Jordanian friendship . . .
It is not enough that Jordan is trying to rape Israel’s water resources, take over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, abrogate parts of the Jordan-Israel “peace” treaty, and introduce anti-Israel resolutions in every possible venue.
Now Jordan is claiming that the new Ramon International Airport, located 18 kilometers north of Eilat is violating “Jordan’s sovereignty in the air” and was built in “violation of international law.”
You can expect the Jordanians to show up at the International Criminal Court in The Hague any day now and claim that Ramon Airport is “a war crime.”
The airport, by the way, opens next month to international flights.
TODAY’S BLOG:
The Conflict With Iran Rapidly Accelerates In Syria
As noted on the breaking news ticker above, Israel carried out a major attack on Iranian and Syrian installations in Syria last night.
Following the ground to ground missile that was fired at Mt. Hermon yesterday, Israel struck more targets around the Damascus Airport, weapons storage facilities of the Al-Quds Force, an Iranian militia training camp, and Syrian anti-aircraft batteries.
According to Syrian reports, around 20 Syrian soldiers and “pro-Assad militia fighters” (read “Iranian mercenaries”) were killed.
As usual, the Russians and Syrians claimed that most Israeli missiles were intercepted by Syrian air defenses, but there is no evidence to support that claim. Residents on the ground in Damascus reported that the attack went on for more than an hour.
The bottom line is that the conflict between Iran and Israel in Syria continues its rapid escalation.
