The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
On the Gaza border:
Fires are being put out in the Eshkol region as this sentence is being written–fires caused by the explosive incendiary devices attached to the balloons being launched by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza.
Just as the balloon attacks have intensified in recent days so have the assaults on the border fence with thousands of Hamas foot-soldiers planting bombs, and throwing Molotovs, grenades, and IEDs at our soldiers.
In Judea and Samaria:
Our Jewish community members in Judea and Samaria continue to be on the front lines against PLO terrorism. Driving to any point in the region means putting yourself at risk of Molotov and “rock” attacks.
Yesterday and today have seen attacks at the Al-Khader Junction, Modi’in Yair, Mount Hevron, Neve Tzuf, Karmel, Luban A-Sharqiya, Al-Aruv, Shechem, Nahalin, Deir Abu Mash’al, Deir Nizam, and Azzun among other places.
The Israeli political process becomes frantic . . .
Tomorrow is the day on which Israeli political parties must submit their final list of candidates for the April 9th election.
Today, the final, frantic push is on to make alliances and form unions in order to get as many votes as possible.
Will Benny Gantz unite with Yair Lapid? Will Eli Yishai and his Yachad Party find a place with another party? What is the deal that Netanyahu has just made with Beit Yehudi? Has Tzipi Livni really retired from political life because no one wants her party?

You want to know why there will never be peace between Israel and the Palestinians?

Think back to Saturday, October 10, 2015.
Two Israeli Border Police officers were patrolling near the Damascus Gate when they observed a young Palestinian man behaving suspiciously. They approached him and asked for his ID.
He then pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the officers in the neck. Another group of soldiers nearby saw what was happening and opened fire on the terrorist killing him. In the process, two other police officers were hit by friendly fire.
Fortunately, none of the Israelis died.
It turned out that the terrorist was Said Mohammed Ali, a 19-year-old from the Shuafat neighborhood in Jersualem.
This past week, the terrorist’s mother gave an interview to Al-Aqsa TV (which was subsequently translated by MEMRI). In it, she praises her son as a hero and waxes with wild-eyed exuberance about how he was practiced in using a knife because he was a butcher and knew out to slaughter.
Watch it for yourself and draw your own conclusions.
Not an ounce of remorse by the “mother” because her son is dead.
Only pride that he is dead.
She calls him “a martyr”, “a lion.” She suggests that others follow his heroic example to go and try to kill hated Israelis.
This is why there will never be peace. Palestinian culture is a culture of death, and their love for their children will never exceed their hatred of us.
Addendum: It should be noted that the mother now lives a life of luxury with monthly paychecks from the PLO to pay her for her son’s terrorism.
