Can you believe this?

After 430+ missiles fired toward Israel by Palestinian terrorists in the past 18 hours:

*Israel is transferring fuel to Hamas in Gaza at this moment–the same fuel that is used to power the hydraulic missile launchers.

*Israel is pressuring Qatar to pay Hamas $15 million dollars–the same money that is used to build missiles and build tunnels for use against Israel.

Total insanity.

The last two barrages fired from Gaza occurred at 5:38 am and 5:55 am.

UPDATE 3:30 AM Sunday:

It has been 5 hours since our last update, and the missiles continue to explode all over southern Israel. More than 30 barrages of four or more missiles each have struck in these 5 hours. Particularly hard hit are all the communities on the Gaza border, Ashkelon, and Beersheva. Ashdod has also been hit several times in recent hours.

An Israeli man was killed in Ashkelon in the barrage 45 minutes ago. A missile exploded in his house, and he was torn apart by shrapnel. Many other Israelis have been wounded, and hundreds of children, women, and men have been treated for trauma.

What is the IDF doing? No one seems to know. 

There are still no reports of any terrorists who have been killed or wounded, and the fact seems to be that IDF attacks have diminished in recent hours.

One thing is uncertain. Israel is utterly incapable of stopping missile fire into Israel.

UPDATE 8:30 PM:

It has been two hours since our last update. Those two hours have been interspersed with reports of ceasefire and no ceasefire.

UPDATE 6:30 PM:

The last 30 minutes have seen a massive barrage of missiles–some of which scored direct hits on Israeli homes. There is no news at the moment as to Israelis wounded.

The IDF announced in the last half hour that it has blown up another tunnel leading from Gaza into Israel. Your humble servant wonders why this tunnel was not blown up before now.

Apparently, PM and Defense Minister Netanyahu has ordered that the IDF “hit Hamas and Islamic Jihad hard” (whatever that means.

Barrages of missiles continue being fired at southern Israel by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza– with more than 50 fired in the last hour. 

5:38 pm: Incoming missiles for Zone 234 (Sde Nitzan, Amioz, and surrounding communities).

5:44 pm: Incoming missiles for Zones 224, 236, 238 (Nahal Oz, Sderot, and surrounding communities).

5:51 pm: Incoming missiles for Zone 231 (Nirim, Ein Hashlosha, and surrounding communities).

5:59 pm. Incoming missiles for Zones 220 and 252 (Sderot, central Negev, and surrounding communities).

UPDATE 5:30 PM:

The Palestinian terror “factions” have declared that the next few hours will be “very painful” for Israel. They further declare that all negotiations with the Egyptians have reached a dead end.

For its part, Islamic Jihad has threatened to hit Ben Gurion Airport and Dimona. They say the missile fire is aimed at stopping “Eurovision.”

The Home Command has ordered all people living in southern Israel to remain close to bomb shelter or fortified place. All beaches have been evacuated from Zikim to Ashdod.

UPDATE 5:00 PM:

Another mini-war has erupted on the Gaza border which threatens at any moment to expand into a major war. More than 150 missiles have been launched at Israel from Beit Shemesh to the Gaza envelope. There have been direct hits in Kiryat Gat, Ashekelon, and Nahal Oz. At least two Israelis have been critically wounded: an 80 year old woman in Kiryat Gat and a 50-year-old man in Beit Shemesh.

The IDF has attacked what it calls “dozens of targets” in Gaza; however, there are no reports of terrorists being hit.

A partial list of places where incoming missile alarms were sounded: 

Mazkeret Batya, Bilu Junction, Beit Shemesh, Be’er Sheva, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Kiryat Malachi, Kiryat Gat, Yavneh—and all communities along the Gaza border.
