The News On the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
On the Gaza border:
Numerous fires caused by exploding balloons from Gaza have occurred all along the Gaza border as well as in the area between Ashkelon and Kiryat Gat. Some of the worst fires have taken place at Moshav Shekaf, Be’er Tuvia, in the Shukda Forest, Nahal Oz, Moshav Zohar, in the Be’eri Forest, and between Shefet and Neta.
Southern Israel is literally on fire, and the government is doing absolutely nothing to stop the launches of balloons from Gaza.
In Judea and Samaria:
The terrorists in Judea and Samaria see that the terrorists in Gaza launch explosive balloons with impunity, and so they augment their technique using Molotovs.
This is a photo of a fire last night at the Mehola Junction that was caused by terrorist incendiary devices:
You might remember that the Mehola Junction is where the first Palestinian suicide car bomb attack took place back on April 16, 1993. In that attack, a Hamas terrorist created a bomb inside a Volkswagon van by connecting propane tanks to grenades.
Elsewhere yesterday, Palestinian terrorists attacked with Molotovs and “rocks” at Al-Aruv, at the Hati Junction, Ibi Nahal, Tekoa, Lev Levona, Turmus’ ayya, and other locations.
A moving video from a son whose father was murdered by Palestinian terrorists . . . .
Take a look at this video to visually understand how much money terrorists are paid to murder Israelis.

Another outrageous ruling from the High Court of Injustice . . .
The Court rejected a petition by Temple Mount activists to allow Jews to go up to the Temple Mount on Jerusalem Day. As you recall, Jews are being prohibited from ascending because it is Ramadan.
In making the ruling the judges decreed: “We did not find any legal cause for intervention in the decisions.”
What unadulterated hogwash.
The Temple Mount belongs to Israel. That is legality enough.
Speaking of hogwash and the High Court of Injustice . . .
If you can believe this, the leading candy manufacturer in Gaza came to the Court yesterday and petitioned that it be allowed to sell its candy in Judea and Samaria.
If this has you scratching your head, so does it have your humble servant.
What in the world gives a Gaza company the right to petition the Israel High Court of Justice about anything? Much less a decision by the Israeli government.
That the Court would even hear the case tells you to what degree the Court now attempts to dictate the realities of Israeli life.
Israel moves forward with desalination . . .
One thing you can say about Israel is that the country is pro-active. Just because there have been record rains over the course of the last few months and reservoirs are virtually full, the government is nevertheless pressing forward on the desalination front.
Today it was revealed that 3 proposals have been submitted for the construction of the largest desalination facility of its type in the world at Sorek. When completed in 2023, the plant will have a capacity of 200 million cubic meters of water per year.
Added to what is already being produced–and the other desalination plant planned for the Galilee–this means that 85% of Israel’s water needs will be provided through desalination.
A wonderful history lesson from Ambassador Danon at the United Nations . . .
If you have 18 minutes today, watch the following video in which Danon explains to the idiots of the U.N. why Israel belongs to the Jews. Interestingly, this video has gone viral in Arab countries.
TODAY’S BLOG:
Amen To That!
Try to wrap your mind around this extraordinary story today.
Almost two years ago, a young Jewish man went to the Temple Mount. While there, he prostrated himself on the ground and begin to pray. A friend of his took this picture:
Immediately the Israeli police grabbed him and raised him to his feet, and subsequently handcuffed him (as we all know, the Police will not allow any Jew to pray at Judaism’s holiest place).
While he was being lifted, a “policeman” of the Islamic Wakf kneed him in the stomach:
The police subsequently released the man, but refused to bring charges against the Islamic Wakf “policeman.” This is not surprising given the fact that the Israel police and “Wakf policemen” work in tandem to suppress Jews on the Mount.
The man then hired Chaim Blaycher as a lawyer and sued the Wakf “policeman.”
Three weeks ago, the latter was convicted in Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court of “humiliation and injury to the Plaintiff on the mountain, and abuse of his role by harming and terrorizing the immigrants to the Temple Mount.” He was ordered to pay 10,000 shekels, and the Wakf was ordered to pay court expenses.
Amazing.
Lest you think that a check will never be written, guess what?
Blaycher has already received the check for his client:
Kolakevod to the young man and Blaycher. As Blaycher said yesterday: “The time has come for the state to begin to act in a sovereign manner against the enemy and its emissaries on the Temple Mount.”
Amen to that!
