TODAY’S BLOG:

Palestinian Terror In The Last 24 Hours

When you stop and think about it dear reader, isn’t it amazing that the endless terror that Palestinians perpetrate everyday against Israelis goes almost completely unreported in the international media, and virtually unreported in the Israeli media.

Let one Palestinian terrorist get killed in Judea, Jerusalem, Samaria, or Gaza, and it is an instant cause celebre. Let one Israeli get killed, or wounded, or be the subject of a vicious attack and the media instantly sweeps it under the rug.

Let’s review the terror news that you didn’t read or hear about today.

On the Gaza border:

More than 10,000 Hamasniks have been attacking our soldiers along the Gaza border fence all afternoon:

Grenades, IEDs, Molotovs, “rocks”, and any other kind of projectile you can think of have been used to assault our troops.

At the same time, other Palestinian terrorists along the border have continued launching hundreds of incendiary balloons into southern Israel and setting dozens of dunams of forest and agricultural land ablaze:

Other fires have taken places as such places as Amatzia and Be’eri. Regular readers of israelstreet know that Be’eri experiences at least one fire everyday.

More than 50 fires have taken place in the western Negev alone since the most recent “ceasefire” three weeks ago.

As one member of Kibbutz Sufa said today: “Nobody counts us. We do not understand a cease-fire in which our fields are still burning.”

Everyone knows what needs to be done, but the government refuses to do it. We are hostages of the government.”

In Judea and Samaria:

Numerous “rock” and Molotov attacks have been carried out by Palestinian terrorists in the last 24 hours–and most of them in the usual places such as Karmei Tzur, Hizma, Tekoa, Luban A-Sharqiya, and on and on. If we have written it once, we have written it a hundred times: the Jewish community members living in Judea and Samaria are heroes. What they go through on a daily basis is astonishing.

Elsewhere, a Palestinian terrorist was killed while trying to infiltrate Israel by climbing over a security wall near Bethlehem.

In Jerusalem:

We are coming to the last Friday of Ramadan and the city is full of Palestinians from Judea and Samaria. Some are there with legal passes; others have entered the city illegally.

A Palestinian terrorist (apparently in the city illegally) entered the Damascus Gate at around 6:20 pm this evening. He proceeded to stab a 50-year-old Jewish father of three, Gavriel Lavi, in the head, neck, back, chest, and legs.

A few minutes later he then stabbed another Jew–16-year-old Israel Ben Hava–in the back:

Israel is reported to be in fair condition with a punctured lung (the knife when through his back into his lung).

Gavriel is in critical condition at this hour and needs your prayers.

In a statement to the press tonight, Gavriel’s wife Nili was defiant: “We will continue to walk through Damascus Gate. We won’t let them restrict us. I’m sure Gavriel will overcome this and stand on his feet again.”
