Of course we are not dealing with a responsible adversary. But do you know what irresponsible adversaries do? If you appease them by giving them a finger, they will take your whole hand.

Palestinian terror in Judea and Samaria in the last 24 hours . . .
Israeli civilians and soldiers were attacked all day and night. For example, Palestinian terrorists used “rocks” and Molotovs to assault Israeli motorists at such places as on Road 446 between Deir Qadis and Hashmonaim, at Alfe Menashe, and beside Deir Nizam.
These reports and others were made by citizens on the ground to hakolhayehudi, rotter, and Rescue Without Borders.
Israeli soldiers were attacked at Al Aruv: Palestinian terrorists threw Molotovs at an IDF pillbox which went up in flames:
Fortunately, all of the soldiers inside made it out alive. Note the front of a fire truck to the right of the photo.

Back on December 18, 2010, British citizen Kay Wilson was attacked by a Palestinian terrorist while she was walking with a friend in the area of Beit Shemesh. The friend she walking with was brutally murdered.
“Attacked” is a mild term for what happened to her. She was stabbed and slashed 13 times with a machete, and beaten so badly that more than 30 bones in her body were broken. More specifically, she suffered broken ribs, punctured lungs, a punctured diaphragm, dislocated shoulder, broken shoulder blade, and a broken sternum. Miraculously, bleeding heavily and with her hands tied behind her back, Wilson managed to crawl 1200 meters to get help.
She now spends her time fighting against British government payments to the PLO.

According to Wilson, the terrorist who “attacked” her and who now is incarcerated in Israeli prison has received more than $90,000 dollars in “salary from the PLO. As Wilson points out, the terrorist’s salary will rise in the coming years.
What Wilson wonders is how the British government in good conscience can continue to send money to the PLO knowing that much of that money goes to pay terrorists’ “salaries.”
The answer is simple: when it comes to Palestinian terror, the British government has no conscience.
Indeed, the international community that funds the PLO should hang its head in shame.

A follow-up to my “conversion” blog a week ago . . .
In that blog, your humble servant suggested that something must be done to give greater access to conversion to the some 400,000 people in the country by way of aliya but who are not halachically Jewish.

Yes, Yehoshua is “the” Joshua forever revered as one of Israel’s greatest commanders. The same Joshua that led the conquest of Jericho and of Canaan. Working Hand in Hand To Thwart Annexation of Area C
One cannot help but notice how J Street, The New Israel Fund, and Hamas have all issued similar messages in the last two weeks.

In a real sense, the three statements are virtually interchangeable. What Hamas wants is what J Street wants is what The New Israel Fund wants. That Ismail Haniyeh could just as easily be the head of J Street or The New Israel Fund speaks volumes about how far to the left these two supposedly “pro-Israel” organizations have gone.
And how divorced from everyday Israelis they have become.
