The News On The Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
On the Gaza border:
We keep reminding you dear readers about Israel’s idiotic agreement with the Palestinians in Gaza–an agreement that called for the complete cessation of attacks against our soldiers on the border and balloon attacks against the residents of southern Israel.
Everyday since that agreement was signed, the plague of fires caused by explosive balloons has continued.
The fiery scene near Sha’ar Hanegev last night:
At Sdot Negev yesterday afternoon:
What is Israel’s continued response to these fires? Do nothing and give the terrorists more. Not surprisingly, it was revealed yesterday that Israel has now removed 18 items from the blacklist and is permitting them to be transported into Gaza including steel cables of the type that are used in building tunnels; fertilizer of the type that can be used to create bombs; and iron products that can be used to build missiles.
Can you believe it? Of course you can. Along with these items, Israel has reduced the age of “traders” allowed to bring such products into Gaza from 35 to 25 years old–prime terrorist age.
In Judea and Samaria:
Palestinian arsonists set three fires in the Rosh Tzurim Forest in Gush Etzion, and assaulted Israelis with “rocks” and Molotovs at numerous places including Tekoa, Beit Ummar, Marta, Karmei Tzur, and near Hevron.
The Lavi organization obtained the following document from the IDF military police yesterday:
Being a generic version, it starts working in just 15 minutes- Increases sexual stamina and drive- Highly effective in treating erectile dysfunction- Easy to consume- Has no side effects How it Works? What this document shows is that the police are obsessed with investigating alleged instances of “Jewish” terror in Judea and Samaria and not at all interested in the incessant Palestinian terror attacks in the same area.
For example, in 2018, the police investigated 109 alleged cases of Jewish terror, and 1 case of Palestinian terror.
1 case. And 1 case in 2017. And 1 case in 2016.
Simply amazing, but again, not surprising.
Some good news . . .
According to National Public Radio (NPR) in the United States, more than 35,000 Palestinians have left Gaza to take up residence abroad since June of last year.
Of course, NPR presented this information to show how “cruelly” Israel is treating Gaza, but the fact is that the soaring birthrate has made for some of the densest living situations to be found.
Maybe if the Palestinian Gazans stopped having so many children, fewer of their citizens would leave.
By the way, where do you think the Palestinians are moving to? Turkey, Canada, Norway, Belgium, Austria, and the Persian Gulf countries.
Another invasion . . .
Israel is now facing a giant swarm of jellyfish just off shore. Thousands are now covering beaches in the country and clogging up water intake valves at electrical generating plants and desalination plants.
But the worst is yet to come.

Drowning In A Sea Of Hypocrisy With No Lifeboat In Sight
Obviously, when it comes to politicians, there is no end to hypocrisy. One stood out yesterday.
It was the head of the Blue and White Party, Benny Gantz, who had the gall to utter these words to an audience in the South:
“The residents here have 20-25 seconds to run to a protected area, so they need to know that there is a need for a safe haven. We need to give you the protection you deserve. And the defense begins with deterrence. Every kite that flies in our direction should have a missile that flies with an exact address back to Hamas.”
It’s hard to imagine how this could be more absurd.
In the first place, residents living on the Gaza border do not have 20-25 seconds to run to a protected area. As a resident of Nativ Ha’Asara told me a few years ago, from the time the siren goes off, it is “one, two, three, boom“. Is it really possible that former IDF Chief of Staff Gantz doesn’t know that?
In the second place, this is the same Benny Gantz who as passive head of the army allowed the 2014 war to drag on for 51 days while thousands of missiles and mortars rained down on southern Israel. And now he wants to send a missile back to Hamas for every balloon or kite that flies toward southern Israel? The sentiment is right, but Gantz would never do it.
In the third place, how can we forget how Gantz hung our soldiers out to dry in the battle at Shifa Hospital–not allowing them to stop terrorists from firing RPGs at them from the upper floors? And how can we forget those Israelis (including a child) who died from mortar and missile fire because they came back to southern Israel after Gantz’s infamous “anemones” speech in which he declared the war was over?
Sometimes, your humble servant just feels like he is drowning in a sea of hypocrisy with no lifeboat in sight.
