Revealing Quote of the Day
“I do not have a problem with you, I have a problem with the Ethiopian soldiers checking me at the checkpoints, and I can not accept the fact that one will examine me. Muslim Arabs from the inception of Islam have been buying black slaves in Africa, the black color being an inferior color in Islamic society. The biggest humiliation I can get is being checked by an Ethiopian soldier.”
A Palestinian Muslim forklift driver from Gaza working at the Kerem Shalom Crossing talking to an Israeli reporter (as quoted in the Israeli newspaper Maariv)
Your humble servant includes this quotation to provide context for the fact that some Israeli Arab Muslims have suddenly, and disingenuously, pushed themselves to the front of the current Ethiopian protests accusing Israelis of being “racist.”
The News On The Israeli Street
Palestinian terror on the Gaza border in the last 24 hours . . .
It has been a violent 24 hours on the border with more than 3000 Hamasniks attacking our soldiers at five separate locations with IEDs, Molotovs, and other projectiles:
Elsewhere, there were numerous attempts at infiltration into Israel. In one instance, 4 Palestinian terrorists successfully crossed the border, stole cannisters of M16 bullets, and returned to Gaza. Two other knife-carrying terrorists were captured along the southern Gaza border as they crossed the fence, and yet another terrorist was captured along the northern border.
Explosive balloons continued being launched into southern Israel. Balloon clusters were found in an area ranging from the Eshkol region to Ashkelon:
Meanwhile, Hamas held an outdoor rally at which they excoriated some of their “worst enemies”:
Of course we have President Trump in the center facing us, then upper right Jared Kushner, lower right the Bahrain Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, lower left Jason Greenblatt, and upper left David Friedman. Khalifa is also portrayed in the huge cutout below the Palestinian flag on the podium.
On the subject of Judea and Samaria . . .
You will recall that we reported the other day how the Regavim organization has published a report on the explosive growth of illegal Palestinian buildings in Area C–to the tune of more than 28,000 in the last ten years.
Following this report, a group of Knesset members banded together to demand a Knesset enquiry into this illegal construction. Nine of the members were from the Netanyahu’s Likud party.
However, when it was discovered that all the illegal building took place while Netanyahu was prime minister, the Likud party issued a formal reprimand of the nine Likudniks and forced them to withdraw their signatures from the demand.
Upon this action by the Likud party being made public two days ago, the party issued this statement: “We oppose and act against illegal Palestinian construction, but we will not cooperate with cynical exercises by the opposition and the left, which are meant to gather headlines in the media.”
What a joke. The so-called “cynical exercises” were not being made by “opposition” or the “left”; they were being furthered by the “right”–by the same groups that Netanyahu claims to represent before each election and then abandons afterward.
An update on the Ethiopian situation . . .
For a second day, the streets have been quiet; however, the protest leaders (which now are less Ethiopian and more Israeli leftist) are promising to return once the seven day shiva for Solomon Teka is over.
At the same time, the undercover Israeli policeman’s story about what happened has been completely confirmed. The autopsy results show conclusively that Teka was killed by a “bullet sliver”–slivered because it ricocheted off the sidewalk. The rest of the bullet has been found in the sidewalk.
No one is denying that Teka and his two friends were roughing up a 13-year-old boy and trying to steal from him when the undercover policeman intervened.
In light of these facts, it is apparent that the policeman will not be charged with manslaughter, but with unauthorized use of his gun. According to police procedure, a gun fired in warning must be fired in the air.
In the meantime, the policeman and his family (all of whom have been shown on social media) have been taken into “protective hiding” because of multiple threats on their lives.

Sung to the tune of Dayenu (the song we sing at Pesach thanking HaShem (God) for our departure from Egypt–the word “dayenu” actually means “it would have been enough”). If you don’t know the tune, click here.
In this satirical version, your humble servant is wondering why, in His infinite wisdom, HaShem is bleeding we Israeli taxpayers dry.
(Please note that “dayenu” is spelled “dieyenu” below–I’ve altered it for pronunciation ease).
Here we go:
It would have been enough that Israeli taxpayers/are already paying for the electricity/that Palestinians are using in Judea and Samaria.
(Die, dieyenu, die, dieyenu, die dieyenu, dieyenu dieyenu)
It would have been enough that Israeli taxpayers/are now forced to pay/for the fuel used by Palestinians in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza.
(Die, dieyenu, die, dieyenu, die dieyenu, dieyenu dieyenu)
It would have been enough that Israeli taxpayers/are now paying for a new sewage treatment system/for Palestinian toilets in Gaza.
(Die, dieyenu, die, dieyenu, die dieyenu, dieyenu dieyenu)
It would have been enough that Israeli taxpayers/pay 90% of the medical costs/of Palestinian “humanitarian” patients in Israeli hospitals.
(Die, dieyenu, die, dieyenu, die dieyenu, dieyenu dieyenu)
It would have been enough that Israeli taxpayers/pay more than 25 million shekels a year/for medical treatment of Palestinian terrorists in Israeli prisons.
(Die, dieyenu, die, dieyenu, die dieyenu, dieyenu dieyenu)
It would have been enough that Israeli taxpayers/pay for all of the water/in Palestinian cities and settlements.
(Die, dieyenu, die, dieyenu, die dieyenu, dieyenu dieyenu)
It would have been enough that Israeli taxpayers/have to subsidize all of the anti-Israeli Nakhba movies/shown at places around Israel.
(Die, dieyenu, die, dieyenu, die dieyenu, dieyenu dieyenu)
Song ends.
But it turns out that all of the above were not enough.
Because it was revealed yesterday that Israeli taxpayers doled out 2.5 million shekels to transport Muslims from Gaza and Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria to the Temple Mount so that they could “celebrate” Ramadan.
Unbelievable.
2.5 million shekels to bus Muslims to the Temple Mount so that they could stage anti-Israel demonstrations at our holiest place.
Just plain unbelievable.
2.5 million shekels when the Israeli government will not even allow more than a handful of Jews on the Temple Mount and certainly not pay for them getting there.
It is enough! More than enough! Die (enough)! Die (enough!)
