The Best Tweet of the Day
If you don’t recognize the name, this tweet is from U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (from your humble servant’s birth state of South Carolina), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and just about the only person in Washington these days who has the cajones to stand up to Israel-haters Tlaib and Omar.
The News on the Israeli Street

Bravery on the Temple Mount:
Take out your magnifying glass, and look extremely closely at the following photo made yesterday on the Temple Mount. Do you see anything illegal?
Perhaps this photo of one of the people sitting on the steps will help:
Yes, it is the cap. The cap the man is holding is illegal because it has an Israeli flag on it.
Here we have an Israeli Jew standing in front of the Kipat HaSela which covers the Foundation Stone–the holiest spot in Judaism and a spot supposedly under Israeli sovereignty– and he has to sneak to show his cap because having an Israeli flag on the Mount is expressly illegal.
Bravo to him, but the situation is just pathetic.
Political bedfellows:
After two weeks of the Likud party including Benjamin Netanyahu trying to trash Ayelet Shaked and her Right Union Party in every way imaginable, guess what?
Likud and the Right Union Party signed a surplus vote agreement yesterday for the September 17 election.
After two weeks of Avigdor Lieberman proclaiming far and wide that his Yisrael Beiteinu party is a party of the “right” and would not enter into an agreement with the leftist Blue and White Party unless it was part of a broader coalition, guess what?
Yisrael Beiteinu and Blue and White signed a surplus vote agreement yesterday for the September 17 election.
TODAY’S BLOG:
A Crackpot Idea From The Netanyahu Government
If ever there was a crackpot idea, the Netanyahu government inadvertently revealed one yesterday when a senior official that was traveling in the Netanyahu entourage in the Ukraine let it slip that Israel is encouraging Palestinians to leave Gaza.
How, you might ask?
Apparently, Israel is trying to encourage Palestinians to leave Gaza by providing airfare out of Ben Gurion airport to a third country. The only problem seems to be that Israel has been unable to find a third country that would take them.
What good can possibly come from this?
To begin with, however falsely, the world will accuse Israel of trying to “ethnically cleanse Gaza.”
Second, why don’t any Gazans who want to leave exit through the Rafah Crossing into Egypt?
Third, why should Israeli taxpayers foot the bill for Gazans moving to Europe or the Americas–with no guarantee whatsoever that they would not return home at their first opportunity?
Fourth, we are talking about minutely small numbers. Five or ten thousand people a year will not even remotely change the demographics of Gaza where hundreds of babies are born everyday.
Simply put, it is a crackpot idea.
