Please donate to OneIsrael!
Today, we begin our annual September fundraising drive to be joined in one week by a “Go Fund Me” site.
Last year, our goal was modest; we wanted to get “OneIsrael” off the ground, and so we have as you can tell by the top of this page (note that “israelstreet” will remain listed on donation buttons in the right hand column and other items for the next 3 months).
The first step was to purchase domain names, the second was to direct those names to a common page, and the third was to begin planning how israelstreet will gradually morph into OneIsrael.
Our ultimate goal this year is $50,000.
It is an ambitious goal but one we think we can reach with your help. The money will specifically be used to hire developers to establish OneIsrael as a non-profit, redesign this website, reach out to groups that we identify as bringing unity to Israel, and establish an educational component consisting of important links and a speakers’ bureau.
It is an exciting time, and we hope you will join us on our journey to generate more support for Israel, to bring more unity to Israel, to work against the forces that seek to divide us, and to provide information about Israel that you can find nowhere else.
Please push/click on one of the Donate buttons in the right hand column to make a contribution to OneIsrael via israelstreet. Thank you for your help!
Photo of the Day
The Israeli school year starts this morning:
2,354,000 students from kindergarten through high school will be enrolled including 168,000 first graders like the ones you see in the photo above.
200,000 teachers will be on the job as a strike was narrowly averted last week.
We wish all students and teachers a wonderful school year!
The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
On the Gaza border:
Dozens of explosive “balloons” were released by Palestinian terrorists again yesterday. One major fire that resulted was in the Eshkol Region.
As usual, there were attempted infiltrations–all of which were repulsed by our soldiers. In one case, Palestinians claimed that a “civilian” was shot by our snipers. If you want to see a miracle on the Gaza border click here to see what happened to that civilian.
So, an attempt to blow up our soldiers in an armored personnel carrier, dozens of explosive balloons launched into southern Israel causing fires, attempted infiltrations into Israel across the border fence–and what was our brave government’s response?

Israel resumed full fuel deliveries to Hamas (remember they were cut in half last week after missile barrages on the Sderot area).
Yes, you read that correctly. Our response to Gaza terror is appeasement.
In Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem:
Palestinian terrorists were out in force during the day and night attacking Israelis with “rocks” and Molotovs at Kfar Hizma, near Tekoa, on Highway 5 beside Ariel, in Jerusalem’s Shimon HaTzadik neighborhood (a woman’s car was targeted–she had to be evacuated to a hospital after her car windows were smashed), Al Aruv, on the Gush Etzion Road to Hevron, on Road 365 again near Deir Nizam, in the vicinity of Beit Ummar, and at Beit Anun among other places.
All reports of the above terror come from residents on the ground via Rescue without Borders, Rescue Judea and Samaria, hakolhayehudi, and rotter.
The last day of great freedom . . .
Yesterday was known as this year’s “last great day of freedom” because it was the last day of vacation before school resumes again this morning. More than 50,000 Israelis were hiking on the various trails around Israel, and Israelis flooded our national parks.
The most visited parks were Masada, Caesarea, Ashkelon, and Hurshat Tal.
Those who weren’t hiking or visiting parks were at the beach–along with thousands of volunteers from EcoOcean who took the opportunity to clean up beaches at Zikim, Palmachim, and Beit Yanai.
TODAY’S BLOG:
Bye Bye Oslo!
It is often falsely written in the international media that Israel constantly violates the Oslo Accords by “building settlements” in Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Israel has always scrupulously adhered to the land divisions concocted in those abominable accords.
Not one building has ever been constructed by Israel in Areas A and B which are under Palestinian control.
100% of all Jewish community members live in Area C which was designated by Oslo as being under Israeli administrative and security control.
All of that may be about to change.
As of yesterday, the PLO (aka the Palestinian Authority) announced that it will no longer recognize Areas A, B, and C as separate entities. More specifically, it will no longer recognize Area C as under Israeli control.
Even more specifically, the PLO announced that it will begin a construction program in Area C by creating new Palestinian communities there and expanding existing ones from A and B into C.
It is nothing but an illegal land grab, and it remains to be seen how our pusillanimous government will respond.
