The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
On the Gaza Border:
At 11:44 pm last night, IDF forces captured two armed Palestinian terrorists as they attempted to breach the border fence and infiltrate into Israel. None of our soldiers were wounded.
In Jerusalem:
There was an attempted stabbing at the Flower Gate in the Old City yesterday. Mainline news agencies misreported the Palestinian terrorist as being 14 years old; in reality, he was in his forties. Fortunately, he was disarmed by Border Guards.
In Judea and Samaria:
IDF forces, Border Guards, and Border Police captured 15 wanted Palestinian terrorists overnight.
Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli men, women, and children with “rocks” and Molotovs in numerous places such as Jericho, the Olive Junction in Hevron, on the Yehuda Bypass Road, Al Fawwar, Yitzhar, and on Roads 443 and 446.
No BDS for wildlife! . . .
An all-time record of more than 56,000 cranes were counted yesterday at Ahula Nature Reserve in northern Israel.
This eclipsed the previous record of these migratory birds by some 7,000.
TODAY’S BLOG:
A Gathering of Vultures: The J Street Convention
Speaking of birds, the vultures of the Democratic Party and the Israeli “Left” came to Washington to feast yesterday at the annual J Street convention.
What were they feasting on?
Israel.
Of course they would prefer to call “Israel”, “Palestine.”
The attack came from all sides with Democratic candidate for president Elizabeth Warren saying once again that she would leverage American aid to Israel on dismantling “the settlements.”
Then came Bernie Sanders who actually said that he would take away most American military aid from Israel and give it to Gaza. In Sanders’ words:
“My solution is, to Israel, if you want military aid you’re going to have to fundamentally change your relationship to the people of Gaza. I would say that some of the $3.8 billion should go right now to humanitarian aid in Gaza.”
In other words, Sanders would take away the money used by Israel to protect itself from terrorists and give it to terrorists.
In the midst of his rant, he continually referred to the current government as “racist.”
If all of this weren’t enough, we also had totally disgraced Israeli former PM Ehud Barak going on about the horrors of the Netanyahu government before devolving into singing an Arabic love song.
Part of Barak’s idiotic comments included one in which he said he was sure that the majority of Israelis support a two state solution in line with his vision. This is the same Barak whose current Democratic Union Party came close to not even passing the electoral threshold for Knesset representation in the last election a few weeks ago.
Virtually no one in Israel shares Barak’s so-called “vision.”
Similarly, virtually no one in Israel shares the abominable J Street vision.
