Quote of the Day
“We have not stopped being committed to peace, but demand that it be done on our own terms.”
Nabil Abu Rudeineh, PLO senior adviser to PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas
We have not stopped being committed to peace? He should have said that “We have never been committed to peace and demand all of Israel.”
The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Along the Gaza border:
Palestinian terrorists in the Zeitun neighborhood of western Gaza City launched two more missiles at southern Israel this evening in the direction of Nahal Oz. Neither made it across the Border Fence.
14 explosive balloons were launched from Gaza this morning alone. Six exploded in the sky above Israeli communities; the rest exploded or were defused on the ground.
In response, Israel moronically permitted 20 diesel tankers, 20 gasoline tankers, and several trucks loaded with propane gas to enter Gaza through the Kerem Shalom Crossing. Now the terrorists will be able to refuel their hydraulic missile launchers.
For almost two years now, the daily attacks on our soldiers at the Gaza border fence have been termed “The Return March” by Hamas leaders. Yesterday, Hamas decided to rename the attacks on our soldiers: “The Supreme Authority for the Return March and the Struggle Against The Century Deal.”
In Judea and Samaria:
The above “rock” attack took place on Road 446 near Shukba. When MADA paramedics arrived on the scene in an armored ambulance, they found the 50-year-old woman bleeding from her head and wandering on the road near the car. She is now listed in serious condition.
Palestinian terrorists carried out other “rock” and Molotov attacks on Israelis on Road 465, the Tunnel Road in south Jerusalem, east of the Tapuach Junction, at Yitav, on Curve 160 in Hevron, on Road 446 near the Hashmonaim Checkpoint, the Nili Junction, Luban a-Sharqiya, the Hevron Bypass Road, Al-Aruv, Hizma, the Jit Junction, the Baruchin Junction, Halhul, Ofra, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road, and on Road 465 near Deir Nizam among other places.
The body of the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack on an IDF soldier back on February 6 at the Horseshoe Junction has been found. Apparently, the terrorist died after being wounded in the attack. The M-16 that he used was also recovered.
A stabbing attack took place at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron. The terrorist pulled out a knife while being inspected and stabbed a Border Policeman in the chest so violently that the knife handle broke off from the blade. Fortunately, the Policeman was wearing a protective vest; the terrorist was taken into custody. An amazing sentence . . .
A court in Bahrain sentenced a man to 3 years in prison for burning an Israeli flag.
Amazing, and unheard of in the Arab world.
An amazing route . . .
For the first time yesterday, an Israeli commercial flight flew through Sudanese airspace on its way to Brazil. No longer do Israeli flights need to fly down the Mediterranean in order to not cross Africa. Flight times to South America will be about 3 hours shorter.

13 Days Until The Election: What Does the Latest Poll Show?
It is now 13 days and 2o hours until the election on March 2.
The latest poll from Walla! and Mano Geva, published today, shows that if the election were held tomorrow this would be the distribution of seats in the Knesset:
34 Kahol Levan (Gantz)
33 Likud (Netanyahu)
13 Joint Arab List
10 Labor and Meretz
8 Shas
8 United Torah Judaism
7 Yemina
7 Yisrael Beiteinu
So what has changed?
Not much. Likud has incrementally gained at the expense of Yemina. Labor/Meretz has incrementally gained. Lieberman’s Yisrael Beiteinu has dropped.
Overall:
–the right-orthodox block would have 56 seats.
–the left block would have 44 seats.
–the Arab list would have 13 seats.
–Yisrael Beiteinu would have 7 seats.
What would be the result?
Stalemate again.
Interestingly, the same poll asked Israelis: “What would be better: a government that includes the Joint Arab List or a 4th election in September?”
The overwhelming answer was “a 4th election in September.”
