As of this moment, each person arriving in Israel during the next two weeks from abroad must go to a 14 day quarantine. This includes an estimated 200,000 Israelis who are currently traveling abroad and are due back in a few days.
HAPPY PURIM!
Corona or not, Israelis continue celebrating Purim (which begins at sundown this evening) even if on a smaller scale. Here are some photos from today.

The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
The T-Junction in Gush Etzion, Al-Fawwar southwest of Hevron, and Jiptlik in the Jordan Valley were three of some two dozen places where Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis with Molotovs and “rocks” yesterday.
Meanwhile, Hamas continues firing “test” missiles into the Mediterranean and carrying out military exercises along the Gaza Border. The resultant continuing explosions only contribute to the already tense atmosphere there and the sleeplessness of Israelis in the border communities.

As of this moment 42 Israelis have been identified as having the corona virus and are in isolation.
The most recent person (number 42) is a 41 year old man who just returned from Spain. Every time a new case is announced a complete description of the person’s travels is published. Here is where number 42 traveled:
On February 25, he traveled on Pegasus Flight 786 from Tel Aviv to Istanbul.
On February 26, he traveled on Pegasus Flight 1099 from Istanbul to Madrid.
On March 2, he traveled on El Al Flight 398 from Madrid to Tel Aviv.
On March 3, he attended an event at the Waterfalls Hotel in Rishon Lezion.

Gantz Rushes To Embrace Terrorist Balad
“Benny Gantz sends his emissaries to Balad to form a minority government that depends on terrorists. Netanyahu is right. What a difference a day can make. From promising that he would never embrace the Joint Arab List–and in particular the Balad Party which supports attacking Israeli soldiers and civilians–Benny Gantz has run to the terrorists with open arms.
It is simply flabbergasting.
But not really. This is the same Gantz who functioned so poorly as IDF Chief of Staff during the 2014 war in Gaza, even to the point of exposing Israeli troops to withering fire while he dithered over whether to attack terrorists or not. This is the same Gantz whose wife is by all accounts a leader of the abominable Machsom Watch which accuses Israeli soldiers of atrocities.
What Gantz is trying to do is exactly what we reported yesterday–he is attempting to form an anti-Netayahu group which can take over the Knesset. To do so, he needs the 7 seats of Avigdor Liberman’s Yisrael Beiteinu Party and the 15 seats of the Joint Arab List.
Today has seen Liberman jump on the Gantz bandwagon with both feet after he too has said he would never be involved with the Joint Arab List.
However, one of the “howevers” we mentioned yesterday has come to pass today. Two of Gantz’s party, Tzvika Hause and Yoaz Handel, say that they will not go along with the Gantz farce. They will not support cozying up to terrorists.
This evening, the ever slimy Boogie Ya’alon–another person who said he would never go along with the terrorists–declared that Hause and Handel should align themselves with Gantz or resign.
Can Hause and Handel withstand the intense pressure that is being placed on them?
We should know more by tomorrow.
