The Daily Corona Update
As of this hour (8 pm on Wednesday), there are 15,782 confirmed cases of Corona, but 7929 of these have recovered. 91 Israelis are on ventilators. 213 Israelis have died.

Modern Israel’s 72nd Independence Day In Pictures
Yes, Israel is still under a Corona cloud. But you can’t keep a good Israeli down–as everyone bursts with pride over modern Israel’s 72nd birthday.

A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
