Blurry Photos of the Day:
And:
Ok, get our your magnifying glass so that you can appreciate these two photos. In the top one, a municipal inspector for the city of Jerusalem is beginning to use a sledgehammer to remove a TIKA sign on the cornerstone of a cemetery in eastern Jerusalem.
In the lower photograph the job is almost done.
What is the significance of this action? For the first time, Israel is taking action against the Turkish organization TIKA which has been attempting to exert Turkish control throughout eastern Jerusalem all the way to the Temple Mount by spending millions of dollars on supposed “charitable” entities.
By the way, the TIKA plaque had been on the cemetery wall since 2010. Why has Israel taken so long to fight back against viciously anti-semitic and anti-Israel Turkish PM Erdogan?
Quote of the Day
“We presented a peace plan a few months ago and we continue to work on it. Decisions about Israeli annexation are decisions that Israelis need to make. We are talking to all countries in the region about this process. Our goal is for our peace plan to succeed. Netanyahu has said that too. I regret that the Palestinians have rejected our plan outright. We asked to negotiate on the basis of our peace plan but they preferred to threaten, to stop the security coordination with Israel and other things. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will make progress.
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo speaking to reporters yesterday following a meeting in the White House
As if Pompeo’s comments were not interesting enough, shortly thereafter came this cryptic comment from Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway: “I believe the president will have something to say to you about the annexation, and he will be happy to tell you about it.”
In the meantime, the discussions that began on the subject of sovereignty/annexation in the White House yesterday are now scheduled to continue for at least one more day, possibly two.
The News on the Israeli Street

308 have died–no increase
Palestinian terror . . .
In a follow-up to yesterday’s report here on OneIsrael about the car-ramming attack which took place just outside of Jerusalem involving the nephew of PLO Senior Advisor Saeb Erekat, take a look at the video whose link is below.
As you watch it, note how Ahmed Erekat purposely pulled his car to the left so that he could pick up more speed before ramming the Border Policewoman. Then notice how she is sent flying through the air backwards by the force of the impact. Finally, you will not be able to see it clearly, but note how Erekat was killed as he exited the car.

Of course we had the PLO and Hamas praising Erekat after the attack–and even ludicrously claiming that he was merely in a hurry to a wedding when he was shot “in cold blood.” After those claims, a video suicide note was found in which Erekat appeared to apologize for collaborating with Israeli security forces and bringing shame to his family.
A final note: remarkably, the policewoman only suffered bruises as a result of the attack.
Israeli leftists team with anti-Israel Europeans . . .
Organized by ultra-leftist former speaker of the Israel Knesset Avraham Burg, 1080 European legislators from 25 countries have signed a letter which says among other things that President Trump’s plan “effectively promotes permanent Israeli control over a fragmented Palestinian territory, leaving Palestinians with no sovereignty and giving a green light to Israel to unilaterally annex significant parts of the West Bank.”
Among the 1080 signees are such raging anti-Semites as UK Labour stalwart Jeremy Corbyn. The bottom line is simply that the European condemnation means nothing. It states nothing more than the 1080 have stated in multiple venues before such as when they supported BDS and castigated Israel for numerous other actions.
Bizarre cases at the Israel Supreme Court . . .
The Israel Supreme Court began discussions yesterday as to whether Israel has the right to deny citizenship and citizenship benefits to terrorists who try to murder Israelis.
The two cases being considered are of an Israeli-Arab terrorist from Umm-al Fahm who badly wounded 4 Israelis in an attack and another Israeli-Arab terrorist who wounded 24 Israelis in a Tel Aviv bus bomb attack.
In the first case, the terrorist had his citizenship revoked by Interior Minister Aryeh Deri. The abominable Adalah organization is petitioning to reverse Deri’s decision.
In the second case, unbelievably, the Tel Aviv District court ruled that the terrorist’s actions were not “cruel and criminal enough” to warrant his losing his citizenship. In this case, the government is petitioning to reverse the Tel Aviv Court’s decision.
TODAY’S BLOG:
From The River To The Sea
A Two-Lane Freeway There Will Be
So much for the Palestinian chant of “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
Not free, but an Israeli freeway.
Miri Regev announced two days ago that the narrow curvy east west road that currently runs between the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River is about to receive a major facelift.
Specifically, it will be somewhat straightened out and significantly widened into a two-lane (in each direction) highway that will give access to Samaria to hundreds of thousands of Israelis and point to Samaria as the heart of Israel–according to Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan.
Dagan went on to comment:
“This project that the minister has chosen is a flag project, a historic project that will change the map of the State of Israel . . . After 72 years that the state has existed and 53 years since this region was liberated, Samaria becomes the center of the country not only geographically but also in terms of transportation. It will bring a million citizens here, and make Samaria a thriving tourist spot and the center of the country.”
Kolakevod to Minister Regev and the government!
