Ateret Cohanim has won yet another judicial decision which confirms that the Greek Patriarchate indeed sold them the Petra and Imperial Hotels in the old city of Jerusalem.

This case has dragged on for years, but now will come the final step in the process–an appeal by the Patriarchate to the Israel Supreme Court.

As we all know by now, the wonderful Ateret Cohanim is in this for the long run. Their redeeming of Jewish properties in the old city and in eastern Jerusalem often takes a decade or more.

A Bad Night For Iran

Significant events took place in Iraq and Iran last night.

In Iraq, 13 senior Hezbollah commanders belonging to the Iranian-proxy group Ketaib Hezbollah were captured by Iraqi and U.S. Special Forces in a raid south of Baghdad. At least one of the commanders was Iranian. Also, numerous missiles were taken in the raid.

Ketaib Hezbollah has been responsible for multiple attacks on bases housing U.S. military personnel. Most notably, it was the sieging of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad by Ketaib Hezbollah that led to U.S. drone strike that eliminated Iranian general Qasem Soleimani.

At roughly the same time, in Iran, major explosions lit up the night sky 30 miles southeast of Tehran at the major Revolutionary Guard military complex at Parchin:

One of the blasts last night at Parchin–as seen by someone in Tehran.

As you may remember, Parchin is one of the homes of the Iranian nuclear weapons program and the center of its munitions industry. It is also the home of a ballistic missile testing site.

What (or who) caused the blast is unknown though the Iranians are claiming that the blasts were merely caused by the explosion of a gas tank at the complex.

Whether the attack against Iranian proxy Ketaib Hezbollah in Iraq and what happened at Parchin are connected is anyone’s guess, but all in all it was a bad night for Iran.
