Quote of the Day
“Anyone who cooperates with Israel should be shot.”
PLO official Abbas Zaki speaking on Palestinian television.
This is the same PLO which is supposed to be Israel’s partner for peace–and the same PLO that the Europeans, United Nations, and leftists around the world are fighting so hard to support.
The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Palestinian arsonists are suspected of starting a large fire at Mevo Dotan.
A Palestinian terrorist attempted to carry out a stabbing attack at the Qalandiya Crossing but was thwarted by alert Border Police.
Palestinian terrorist Nidal Abu Akr, senior leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, was captured by Israeli special forces in northern Bethlehem.
The daily Corona update . . .
As of 8 am this morning (Friday):
There are 27,047 confirmed cases—an increase of 790 since this time yesterday
17,547 of these recovered—an increase of 95
65 are in serious condition—an increase of 8
25 are on ventilators—an increase of 1
324 have died–an increase of 2
If there is any good news out of all this, it is that out of 9,176 active cases of Corona in Israel “only” 65 are in serious condition.
In terms of city breakdown, 114 were confirmed positive in Jerusalem yesterday, 87 in Bnei Brak, 70 in Tel Aviv, 45 in Ashdod, 23 in Bat Yam, 17 in Modi’in Illit, 15 in Rehovot and Beit Shemesh. Obviously, this means that 404 were confirmed positive elsewhere in the country.
Now that El Al is completely closed down, the company is laying off another 500 employees today, paring the company down to a mere skeleton force of 300.
More attacks in Iran . . .
First we had Parchin last week and then a still unexplained major explosion in northern Tehran two days ago.
Yesterday two more sites were hit. First, major explosions rocked Shiraz in southwestern Iran last night:
There seems to be no word so far on what the blast in Shiraz targeted. But there is no doubt about what the other major blast yesterday targeted.
It was at another one of Iran’s major nuclear weapons facilities, this one at Natanz. The targets were the underground advanced centrifuges used to super-refine uranium for nuclear weapons:

TODAY’S BLOG:
Reconciling To Attack Israel: the PLO, Hamas, and the Joint Arab List
During the last election campaign, your humble servant continuously described the Israeli-Arab “Joint Arab List Party” as being dedicated to the delegitimization and elimination of Israel. After the election when attempts were being made to form a coalition, I wondered how in the world Benny Gantz’s Kahol Lavan Party could even think about joining forces with the List.
Yesterday, Ayman Odeh, the Chairman of the same Joint Arab List, participated in a zoom joint PLO-Hamas “reconciliation” conference hosted in Ramallah.
While participating at the conference, Odeh told the participants that reconciliation between the PLO (Fatah) and Hamas was the only way to “stop the occupation.”
What occupation do you think he was referring to?
The Palestinians at the conference certainly understood which “occupation”. After Odeh’s speech, senior Hamas spokesman Mahmoud al-Zahar said that Odeh’s remarks “confirm that the Palestinians living in the territories that were occupied in 1948 are ready to act for the liberation of Palestine.”
What “Palestinians” are living in “the territories that were occupied in 1948”?
Israeli-Arabs.
What are the “territories that were occupied in 1948”?
Israel.
What is Al-Zahar referring to when he says “ready to act for the liberation of Palestine.”
He means the elimination of Israel.
And yet despite all of this, some idiotic Israelis still don’t get it.
Moshe “Boogie” Ya’alon, responded to Ayman Odeh’s participation and remarks with this media post:
“Arab members of the Knesset, your participation in conferences with enemies and opponents of the state of Israel does not contribute to the integration of Israeli Arabs into Israeli society.”
You may remember that Ya’alon tried for months to engineer a coalition between the Joint Arab List and Kahol Lavan–and even called Benny Gantz a traitor when he refused to go along.
Does Ya’alon really think that the Joint Arab List’s main mission is to “integrate Israeli Arabs into Israeli society’?
I leave it to you, dear reader, to decide what the Joint List stands for.
