There are 54,042 confirmed cases—an increase of 2,366 since this time yesterday
22,743 of these confirmed cases have recovered—an increase of 683
256 are in critical condition—a decrease of 4
77 of the most critically ill are on ventilators—a decrease of 3
425 have died–an increase of 10
There are 31,299 active cases.
Another sharp increase in the number of newly confirmed cases, seeming stabilization in critical and ventilator cases (“seeming” because some critically ill died), and a trend upward in deaths: these are the takeaways from the above statistics.
*Also troubling: 60% of the Corona patients at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem are under the age of 60, and 90% of the ICU Corona patients at Tel Hashomer are between the ages of 37 and 60.
