The News on the Israeli Street
The daily Corona (Covid-19) update as of 8 am this morning . . .

97,218 of these confirmed cases have recovered—an increase of 104

There are 23,805 active cases.
There were major outbreaks of Corona in several locations yesterday. For example, 150 students at one yeshiva in Carmiel were diagnosed with the virus–a number which this morning appears to have risen to more than 200.
It also appears that your humble servant’s home city, Ashdod, will be classified as “red” meaning that a whole host of restrictions will be put in place here.
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
In Judea and Samaria:
Road 446 near Shukba, south of Ali in Binyamin, on the Trans Judea road near the Halhul Bridge, on Road 55 near Scout Square, between Hevron and Kiryat Arba, just outside of the Turquemiyya Checkpoint, on the curve at Al-Aruv: these were 7 places out of more than 2 dozen where Palestinian terrorists assaulted Israeli motorists with “rocks” and Molotovs.
On the Gaza border:
A Study was conducted on rats which eventually generic cialis 5mg showed that periodontitis weakened erection ability. The explosive balloon scourge continues despite the so-called “truce” agreement with Hamas. Yesterday, a building in Netivot went up in flames after a balloon exploded on its roof.
Another infiltration attempt was thwarted–this time in the southern part of the border fence. The terrorist was disarmed and captured.
Yet another terror incident occurred along the fence when terrorists attempted to place an IED to blow up as Israeli troops passed by. Fortunately, the terrorists were spotted and disabled.
Jordanian terror at the Red Sea . . .
Coral Beach (Chof Al Mog) was closed for some hours yesterday when a diver apparently came across the Red Sea from Aqaba and came ashore at the Nature Preserve.
Israeli security forces were waiting for him when he arrived.
Your humble servant will be at that beach tomorrow.
The blog continued . . .
Thank you for your patience, dear reader. The drive to Eilat was very long today because of a massive traffic jam in the Beersheva area and because of massive traffic in general traveling toward Eilat.
It appears that because no Israeli can travel out of the country, they have all come here with all of the Corona implications that means. In fact, there was some talk in the last hour that Eilat may face a lockdown in the coming hours or days.
Other sights and sounds on the way down included the sight of miles and miles of illegal Bedouin building all along the sides of the road from Beersheva to Sde Boker. What has happened is that the Bedouin have set up their own defacto country in the Negev, and the government does little to nothing to stop it.
Of course, we were also struck by the vast fields of solar arrays that now cover the desert landscape in many places. But mostly, the way down was rocky, barren, yet colorful desert and mountains.
The sun will set here in a few minutes and looking out toward the Red Sea there will be an explosion of colors (every conceivable shade of red in the mountains as the sun goes down behind them).
With that your humble servant signs off for tonight.
