There are 179,371 confirmed cases—an increase of 4,115 since this time yesterday
129,394 of these confirmed cases have recovered—an increase of 3,065
581 are in critical condition—an increase of 8
158 of the most critically ill are on ventilators—an increase of 9
1,196 have died–an increase of 27
There are 49,977 active cases.
According to the IDF, 833 soldiers currently have Corona, and another 11,845 are in quarantine because of exposure.

As you know, Israel has been virtually closed down since 2:00 pm yesterday afternoon.
Roads are blocked:
Nobody will be driving 60 kmh here. Blockades are up all over the country.
Highways are empty:

Will any of this work? We have news today that lockdowns are springing back up all over Europe as Corona surges again. Leaders seem devoid of any other ideas to slow down its spread there or here in Israel. Reports are that restrictions will be tightened here on Monday.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
